I disagree. If you think about overall cricket then Pakistan have produced better over all cricketers. We have produced as good batsmen as India, fielding has sucked as always at both sides and well no point going into bowlers. Currently in batting talent I don't see anyone good enough coming out of India either (Steyn against your young guns) apart from Kholi. The only change i would like to see in Pakistani domestic is better pitches. And County teams have always chased world class bowlers than batsmen. That's why they used to dream about our bowlers and they were paid handsome money too.

Badri and Saha are not really going to be our permanent solution. That was just a selection goof up. Dinesh karthik played Steyn with ease both in South Africa and here as well. Rohit, Raina, Kohli, Vijay, Pandey and still a dozen more batsmen who are in the reckoning. Look at your bowling. Apart from Asif everyone else is piece of crap. Aamer had one good spell. He has suddenly become a world class bowler? What is his bowling average? 40 plus or something. Ajmal, Kaneria couple of impotent spinners. Gul.. every tom, dick and harry are smashing him all over. Indian bowling is beter than your bowling.

Certainly pakistan has produced as good batsmen as India. Guys, for God's sake, this is not a thread to compare Pakistani and Indian players. This is a thread about what Pakistan needs to do to become a strong test nation once again. If a system is dependent upon some extraordinary talent talent popping up from nowhere, it'll go the same same route as WI cricket went. You need a strong domestic structure to groom your players and turn them into professionals like Australia does. Even if Australia doesn't have extraordinary talent in their team, they are still a hell of a competitive team and this is because their domestic system keeps on churning out such players. And I disagree that India has a good domestic structure. Our domestic system needs a revamp too, but that is for another thread. Can we discuss about Pakistan here?

Babbling nonsense after every incident in Pakistan cricket, which is a weekly event, is their forte. All I wanted to know that is Pakistan having the same promblems which WI cricket is suffering from? 1. Weak Board with no commitment or planning 2.Poor infrastructure 3.Poor or no domestic structure 4.Poor financial condition 5.Poor pitches Conditions of both the countries, cricket wise, looks the same apart from one difference. People of Pakistan are still interested in cricket unlike those from WI. Then, why are these things not being set right?

Lack of talent in Pakistan is one of the main reason. Guys like Afridi would have disappeared long back into domestic scene in most of the top countries. But he has managed to stay with them for 14 years.

Well because Pakistan is Pakistan. The demise of Pakistan as a cricketing nation has coincided very much with the demise of Pakistan as a nation. Their cricket team reflects the mess the nation finds itself in. Quite unlike West Indies which basically gave up on cricket because they do not prefer it over other games. How come WI test matches get bigger crowds than those in Pak? Despite the population of Karachi being bigger than all the islands combined? Do they turn up because they have no interest?
