saneindian
Among the Indian players, who do you think have been a surprise (in a psitive sense)? 1. Balaji- His pace is up, energy is good, rhythm looks better and has been bowling intelligently and picking up wickets. 2. Saurabh Tiwary: Has made most of the opportunities given to him by Sachin. looks to be a powerful hitter , is a good fielder , runs well between the wickets and has got a good backfoot game. Probably a contender for the u-23 plyer of the series. 3. Uthappa- Seems to have regained his hitting touch. Some powerful hitting in a very successful batting order. 4. Rayudu- A successful comeback by him. Batted well in the chances he got. 5. Harbhajan Singh- Has bowled quite well so far. Looks to have better control and isnt bowling the darts we ar so used to see from him. 6. Katik- The standout spinner. KKR may have been struggling in the last few games, but his bowling has been top notch. He is enjoying his game and looks to be a different bowler from the earlier two editions. Could have avoided abusing Dhawan (who is 10 years his junior) though. Please add to the list.
gaurav92
Cut Bhajji from that list, he hasnt bowled so well. Another person that has impressed me is Manish Pandey---> The cowlasher is just getting better by the day.
dev.goswami
KGayR: I am surprised how can they be successful in being unsuccessful Seriously speaking even Goddy is a surprise...noone expected him him to play this well in T20

youngindia
suprise- saurabh tiwary- ofcourse he was a member of the u19 winning team. but the IPL has provided impeccable evidence with his phenomenal striking ability. It suggests that he is a better version of fellow local, dhoni with a stronger foundation and he is a full fledged specialist batsman of the highest class. fazal (RR)- impressed during his brief stay.but probably has not got opportunities against top teams and bowlers. raw promising talent. aditya tare- another raw impressive talent. needs some more seasons in the domestics. umesh yadav-handy pace but raw. uthappa, rayudu are all comeback men and well known for years. what has to be kept in mind is the short ball is not played that well by many of our batsmen even in indian conditions. i am amazed at how pandey has escaped scrutiny .but it is a false picture. the short ball will cause problems for MOST of them. Sachinism
I'd say Balaji, he's bowled a lot better than some of the regulars of the Indian side
gaurav92
Yup Balaji has bowled exceptionally wll, he has not only hit the right areas, but also has mixed his pace, line and length so that he dont becomes predictable or adaptabkle to get smashed, unlike appam and Pissant
Zelig
Steyn. Nobody gave a farck about him a week back. Some even said, "the faster he bowls, the faster he'll go to the boundary":giggle:
saneindian
I was also impressed with how Dhawan handled Bond yday. Looks to be a really neat player and was quite comfortable during his stay at the crease.
Sachinism
Steyn. Nobody gave a farck about him a week back. Some even said' date=' "the faster he bowls, the faster he'll go to the boundary":giggle:[/quote'] He's come back well, but then again one of those performances was against Y Pathan and even V Kumar was making him jump around
Ranjha
Bhajji is not a surprising success. He is mostly good in T20s and dries the run.
vvvslaxman
Anything that KKR has won under Ganguly :cantstop:
saneindian
I will add Vinay Kumar to the list, has gone for runs but has picked up wickets too. 3 vs Mumbai, 4 vs Chennai, not too bad. Given how the likes of Ishant, Sreesanth, Tyagi, Munaf have been bowling and given Nehra's injury, Vinay Kumar must be close to the final 15 now. PK, Zak and Vinay could be our 3 pacers in WI. gaurav92
Vinay Kumar has been a real surprise, taking wickets, but then again, the conditions were quite good, bouncy track he really is a very nippy bowler VK
