Adobe developed a better algorithm in collaboration with Princeton & University of Washington ---> http://www.adobe.com/technology/graphics/patchmatch.html Also, this has been around for a while in GIMP through a plugin developed by Paul Harrison called Resynthesizer.

I see. This doesn't use info from an image database to fill in. I know the author of this paper, but I haven't looked at this before :hmmmm:
