i was hesitating between wasim bari and Kumar sangakarra. Kumar sangakarra is the number one wicket-keeper/batsmen in asia and hsi big advantage is the spinner is going to be murlitharan and his experience keeping to mulri will help. My Asia XI : Virender Sehwag Sunil Gavaskar Rahul Dravid Sachin Tendulkar Javed Miandad Kumar Sangakarra (wk) Imran khan © Wasim Akram Shoaib Akhtar Mutiah Murlitharan Waqar Younis. Strong Indian Batting, Strong Pakistani Bowling, and Sri lankans doing thir job by always being in the center with murli bowling most of the overs ! I really like that team.
Just one spinner for a subcontinent team? Are they going to be playing all their matches in Perth, Leeds and Kingsmead?

And if the pitch is helping spinner mulri doens't need anyone else, does he? But still i see your point, maybe have kumble in place of waqar?

It's between Imran and Dhoni, why are you dragging Punter here? Look at the stats, look at how their teams have performed under them and then make up your mind.

You prefer to have dhoni as your keeper, that's cool! lol. I personally prefer Sangakarra. Who FOR ME, maybe not for you, is a way better batsmen than MS Dhoni at test level. For me, Dhoni is a good wicket batsman but has to proove his batting in different onditions... Most of his centuries have come in 550+ scores... and in the sub continent...

Kumble or Bedi over Shoaib. If you are going to have Murali in the side, Bedi would be a better choice for the second spinner as he would turn the ball away from the right-handed batsmen. Kumble, though a leg-spinner, brings the ball in mostly. I would still go with Wasim Bari instead of a Batsman-keeper. You don't need another batsman in a line-up like that.

Lol I am saying what did Pakistan achieve under Imran? They never won a test series in Australia, SA , WI. So much for great Imran. Punter has won a test series in every country except England and India.

But at what position will you play sangakara. Sangakara bats at No.3 or No.4 for SL . He doesn't bats at NO.7 .So do you want sachin or Dravid at No.7

See my team again...I am batting Sangakarra at 6 and not at 7. Dravid at 3; Sachin at 4.

But are you sure Punter will make into an all time XI list when there are far better batsman than him. But steve waugh will make into all time XI list because of being the best batsman at no.6 and under presssure.

Hmmm i am just asking who is the better captains not the better man to lead a world XI... But it's ok, you think dhoni is a better captain than Imran Khan, it's your choise... End of debate.
