Is Pakistan cricket dead and buried for good ?

Who thinks so ? I strongly feel sporting fortunes of that nation ( and most in general ) mirror it's political and economic health. Pakistan cricket ( and hockey) , were at their zenith, when the state of Pakistan the country was at it's prime in the 1980's, during the Zia Ul Haq regime. Cold war was at its height and American dollars were being ruthlessly milked by Pakistan in support of the Afghan Jihad against Soviets. The tide has turned now for good, it seems. I dare say, Pakistan the country may seize to exist in it's current size and form and will go through hell fire and brimstone before a major geopolitical change happens. In parallel, Pakistan cricket will sink deeper and deeper IMO. I just don't see any ray of hope.

Seconded. The country will break into pieces wide open in due time due to various militant-political pressures all around and there won't be a single entity left to represent and play for.

Yes for sure, if your country is in an absolute sh*t-hole, than what else can you expect from their cricket team. Rather than even thinking about cricket, each and every paki should be focussed on sorting out their country rather than contemplating on playing crikcet.

Not really. Not till we whitewash them in a test, odi and t20 series
We had a perfect chance for that last time. What do we do.. Win the 1st Test by a Huge Margin and the Powers to Be -- decide - enough and make flat tracks and the next 2 end in a draw. I am furious at those morons

Dude, we havent even managed whitewashed Zimbabwe or Kenya. Does that mean they are good cricketing nations?

Dude' date=' we havent even managed whitewashed Zimbabwe or Kenya. Does that mean they are good cricketing nations?[/quote'] We did whitewash Zimbabwe once. Back in the 90s. Around the same time Pakistan became the only country to lose a home series to Zimboks :cantstop: .

^. yeah mate. This is an April fool's joke. How can Pakistan be a pariah terrorist country ? Everything is thriving in Pakistan. Pakistan is standing on its own feet after 63 years of independence. Pakistan is not dependent on foreign bheeek for its day to day survival after 63 years of independence. Flowers are blooming everywhere in Pakistan especially in the tribal belt of frontier province, which has become the world's no.1 tourist spot. Pigs have started to fly.
