Saswata Chatterjee (who played Bob Biswas) did not appear in Basu Chatterjee's Hindi adaptation of 'Byomkesh'. He played the role of Ajit in a Bengali film on Byomkesh. Incidentally, he also played the role of Feluda's sidekick Topshe in some film and TV adaptations of 'Feluda'.
