In a sense KP , Duminy , Pollard were lucky that they were in the auction for the 2nd and 3rd year as it meant that the teams were having plenty of money for just 1 or 2 buys . KP is a better buy then somebody like Symonds , Pollard or even dare I say Dhoni.
