Bumblebee Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 well obv the ruling congress party never liked a modi to be a IPL commisioner!
vvvslaxman Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Lalit Modi is a Kedi Now he has all the time in the world to smoke Beedi
nballa Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 i think its great for the image of the country. proves that democracy works and power does not lie in the hands of a few individuals with money and people who do wrong get punished. it could have been so easy to turn a blind eye towards all this with so many billions floating around. couldn't have been more prouder to be an indian. jai hind.
mastana Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Modi fans what happened now? I thought Modi was the most powerful Indian on earth. Told you so he is nothing without BCCI. BCCI ne Modi ki phaad ke haath mein de di hai.
Aaku Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Modi fans what happened now? I thought Modi was the most powerful Indian on earth. Told you so he is nothing without BCCI. BCCI ne Modi ki phaad ke haath mein de di hai. Kya phaad ke haath mein di hai ? What are you talking bout? He refuses to resign due to lack of evidence against him, so they use their power and suspend him ? HOW COOL. Am waiting for tmrws meeting + press conferences hoping for a lot of revelations (and with some kinda solid proof, please)
mastana Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 BCCI have also cancelled those late night parties deal. So no more IPL nights. :aha: But no more pictures and captions from tex1des. :((
kabira Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Isnt that Manohar same guy who provided Aussies a gift as a Nagpur Pitch?
Params7 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 good!! without that little hitler in charge perhaps the IPL will gain the worldwide popularity it deserves - ironic though it may be without that odious fellow i believe it might even get into the top twenty popular leagues maybe even the top ten!! It was with Modi's ideas/innovations like youtube partnership, cheerleaders, HD, 3d telecasts and other background stuff that IPL already has become one of the world topmost leagues. ICL is an example of how BCCI might turn IPL into in the future. Modi was an ass but he wanted to compete against NFL, Fifa with IPL and he did get really far in 3 yrs. Not to mentions Champions League.
IKnowU Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 i agree he has done a good job... but the idea of it competing with those leagues is laughable when it is worth not even ten percent of any of the big american sports or THE premier league ffs IPL is only 3 years old :banghead: Id like to see you takeover and see how far you get. :giggle:
Zap_Brannigan Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 i agree he has done a good job... but the idea of it competing with those leagues is laughable when it is worth not even ten percent of any of the big american sports or THE premier league How much were MLB and NFL worth after 3 years when they started? 10$? FFS, look at the other developed nations league that started in the last 20-30 years. S.Korea or Japans baseball is worth less than IPL. Apart from a few football leagues and few American leagues, everything is worth less than IPL and even they were worth less than IPL in 3 years after they started.
abhinav Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 The current BCCI leadership is fast turning in to a bunch of headless chickens. First they threaten him of dire consequences if he does not attend the meeting, then they get **** scared when he does decide to attend the meeting and fire him none the less so that he cant come to the meeting and screw them!!
Jersey #10 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 He deserved a hearing at the least. Give the man more respect BCCI. BCCI is just full of thugs who will not go the longer way and really find the truth.
King Tendulkar Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Good riddance to Modi. That rat hopefully will dissapear in his private jet paid for by his slimy dealings.
IKnowU Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Let us all welcome the new vegetable in the market Mr Chirayu Amin. :giggle:
zubinpepsi Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Let us all welcome the new vegetable in the market Mr Chirayu Amin. :giggle: wow.. never heard of him.. i guess he keeps llow-profile .. maybe this is the guy we need to run the IPL..
King Tendulkar Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Modi was a charlaltan. He thought he owned IPL and was its star. Now that realises he is not its start but cricket is and he does not own IPL. Saying that he printed money for himself during the 3 years and will enjoy his private plane gained through his corruption
King Tendulkar Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 wow.. never heard of him.. i guess he keeps llow-profile .. maybe this is the guy we need to run the IPL.. Yes low profile. And thats the way it should be. The players and the cricket are the stars. Not the chairman and his blackberry
abhinav Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 BCCI: Modi 'behavioural pattern' also a problem NDTV Correspondent , Monday April 26, 2010, New Delhi Summarizing the charges against Lalit Modi, BCCI chief Shashank Manohar listed: 1) Mishandling of initial bids for Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab 2) Broadcasting deal for IPL matches (Modi allegedly took huge kickback) 3) New franchises sold last month 4) Assignation of internet rights (to company owned by Modi's relative, Gaurav Burman) 5) The "behavioural pattern" of Lalit Modi :hmmm:
