LeT has planned to blow up Deloitte office at Hyderabad. And this was thwarted by our police. Apparently by plan, one of the cab drivers working for that company would take a car laden with explosives inside the company and would detonate in the office. Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was planning bomb attacks on the HITEC City, a major IT township in Hyderabad, and the office of a multinational auditing firm. Mohammad Zia Ul Haq, who was arrested yesterday following a tip off by the National Investigation Agency, was directed by his LeT handlers to bomb the Hyderabad office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, one of the four largest auditors in the world, and was in the process of carrying out the plan, government sources said. Interestingly, Haq works as a driver for a taxi service hired by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Besides, Haq had been tasked to carry out terror attack at the Hyderabad Information Technology Engineering Consultancy City (HITEC City), spread over 151 acres and at the centre of the information technology industry in Hyderabad. He has already procured the explosives supplied by the LeT to carry out the attack, sources said. Haq first came in contact with LeT when he went to Saudi Arabia in 1995. In 2002, following the Gujarat riots, he went to Pakistan and took terror training in Karachi and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir capital Muzafarabad. He got training in handling explosives and fire arms including AK-47 and was assigned to cause explosions in crowded areas. Though he soon returned to India, he was keeping low and was working with various travel companies as taxi driver in Hyderabad. Haq had allegedly carried out the bombing at Odeon cinema in Hyderabad in 2006 through explosives supplied by LeT through an operative from Jammu and Kashmir. "We are trying to find out whether he was assisted by any other LeT operative in his acts or was operating alone," a source said.

This office is just a 5 minute walk from my own work place. Had this happened, it would have been a full stop for all IT outsourcing firms in Hyderabad. What would these people achieve by bombing an american establishment in India? if their ire is towards united states they can as well go to USA and indulge in all these dirty jobs. Are they frustrated that a glorious islamic republic to our west is fast descending into a hell? Are they too narrow minded to tolerate the rise of a Hindu State(ironically India never called itself a Hindu State)?.

don't be so naive.....it's pure and simple.....hitting American targets would deter foreign companies from making investment in India and at the same time many kaffirs would die .....ek tir se do shikar .........they want India to become another sh!thole like pakistan and looks like they are getting some help from local muslims in India....it's sad that these ppl call themselves Indian

As per the doctrine of Al Qaeda, USA & its assets are the primary target, Israel is also up there and India is #3 on the list (particularly because of the Kashmir issue). Thus, targeting anything in India is fair game. Not hard to tell, which one is the softest target of the three. Ofcourse, LeT's first goal is India and unlike what most Pakis would say, there's no good terrorists or freedom fighter here.

I work at Deloitte Hyd and it was scary the day we came to know. Anyhow, the security is now beefed up and we even had sniffer dogs today at work!

i agree... the objective here is to harm us economically. our growing economic strength is the central dogma of our resurgence over the past decade. it has fueled social and economic reform, much to the chagrin of the fracking cave dwellers.

Anyway be careful dude.....especially with the cab drivers.
