We just don't seem to learn our lessons. When a person bowls short, play it sensibly. When a team has not one, not two, but THREE 90MPH bowlers, you've just gotta be prepared to face the music by practicing hard in the nets. Then and only then, you can force the agenda. Murali Vijay is a classic example of a person benefitting for hitting one Hundred for Dhoni and Kris's team and he walks in over Manish & Robin. And how can I forget our beloved Suresh Raina, the overrated boy, who can't play the short balls. At 17/3, I believe the procession has just begun. PS- I don't expect the Chennai Super Indians to respond coz neither can Murali nor Raina play the short balls.

We heard you the first time. In how many threads will you keep whining about the same thing?

Absodamnlutely right...gotta learn from Dravid, SRT and the likes. Repeating mistakes over and over again just shows lack of intent, planning and commitment to overcome weaknesses.

This thread will be regularly updated and bumped as when we get pwned by the short balls. :two_thumbs_up:

When the old guard retire India will be in some major trouble, I mean literally none of them can play the short ball, some of them even look afraid.

I am not talking about the weakness about the short ball. I am talking about your alleged Kris Srikkanth bias towards CSK. You keep whining about it in every thread. Why can't you keep a thread about failure against bouncers just about that. You talk as if Manish & Robin are the answers to India's woes against short pitch bouncers.

Dhoni don't take the old players coz he feels they are too old. We ignore the Uthappa's and Kohli's who can play the short balls for people like the Chennai Super Indians who can virtually walk into the Indian team at will coz the Indian Captain and India's Chief Cheap Selector have a Conflict of Interest and neither do the other players do well, with the captain usually leading the "rush to the dressing room from the front" with hideous shots and amazing intellect in taking singles when 4s and 6s are needed. Seriously, on what grounds did Kris say that "Don't ask questions about the selections"?

This I do not understand why the love for these BRC boys If people are saying Vijay got selected for one knock, the same implies for Manish. But the difference between them is Vijay has played for India well and played more consistently. Well about Uthappa, he has only done well this IPL and Karthick is a better player than him.

I turn on the TV to watch team India play, not a regional team. And I feel disgusted when I see performances like these, esp. from sifarishi, sycophant and overrated players.
Nope being prned by not have express pace bowlers like aussies. Swap the bowling around and we would have got 200 and they would struggle against rapid pace
Precisely. Which is why Umesh is in Windies now :two_thumbs_up:

What is team India to others is regional team to you. What is Team India to you is regional to somebody. You talk about Uthappa & Kohli, look at the previous poster he is calling them BRC players. He will turn around and say why this regional players.

We have no weakness against short bowling. Just facing a mamouth score so forced to take on short pace bowling. No team could have pulled and hooked happily against such bowling.
dude......... be real.

Murali Vijay was the best Indian opener in IPL. Who the fk would replace an opener with a lower order hitter? Who would open then ?Nohit Sharma? You are singling out Raina, when everyone else failed too...nice!!

^ Raina is an over-hyped, inept player of the short balls. A man with "lesser talent" than Raina scored 79 and remained not out. The someone who goes by the name "Nohit" Sharma was actually the best Indian batsman in the match today, unlike the inept minnow bashing, 1 Hundred scoring Vijay. I agree that only an opener should be replacing an opener, which is maybe the ONLY reason why Vijay is in WI. I see you understand that Raina failed, and maybe this way the best way to indirectly accept that-

I do not think Vijay is not bad against short balls as much as some of the others. He got out to a good length ball by playing soon. Problem is Gauti and Raina who looked out of depth during their short stay. Raina is such a talented player that he has to stop playing pull until he completely masters it. He has so many other shots that can get him runs. Gauti can also survive short balls. Just that he is not comfortable playing when it goes over his shoulders.

There was a time when Kohli, Viru, Gauti, Nehra, Amit Mishra and Karthik were in the squad. What are your views on that? :hmmm:

I am. We were forced to take on short ball due to massive total. No weakness, any other team would have struggled as well. You don't get to No 1 test team with such weaknesses. And those saying Gambhir has such a weakness need to get of the liquor!
