Ramzz Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 India does not turn up against Sri Lanka in big matches! Why do we always come up short against Sril Lanka in big matches? 1996 WC 2004 Asia Cup 2007 WC 2008 Asia Cup 2010 Some cup in bangladesh...where we basically owned the whole tourny until the final. I know we pwn them in bilateral series but when it matters the most...we come up short. They seem to be our Achilles heel!
Guest Hiten. Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 A choke job ensured we remain winless in super 8s.
Karan114 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Two in a row - we didn't win a single game in the Super 8's last time as well. And it might only be T20, but it is still a major international tournament. Australia aren't saying that this is "just T20, who cares" any longer, are they? They have become dominant in T20 cricket as well.
Sachin_Rulez Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Frankly speaking I don't care much about tontee-tontee nowadays and would not have been much worried. But I am unable to digest the fact that we lost all our 3 matches in Super-8 round. I mean in any format of cricket how the feck can you lose all matches in Super-8 round. This is really atrocious and the height of crap performance. I am more disappointed in the way we played all the matches rather than the exit from the tontee-tontee WC. We are not playing like no.1 and no.2 team in the world in the two main formats of cricket. I am seriously disappointed. Lol...fact that you keep saying this in every alternate post of yours shows how much you care :giggle:
Ultimate_Game Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 India is 0-6 in super 8s !!! Great! Just Great! Now we are 0-6 in T20 super 8s in the last 2 T20 Cups. Somehow this timeline overlaps with advent of IPL. No wonder what our players want more. Sehwag always plays in IPL and then conveniently sits out in the intl tourneys. Zaheer looks great in IPL and then seems injured in the tourneys. And Dhoni is so pumped up in IPL that he is seen punching his helmet and coming up with such innovative strategies as playing 3 good spinners but for India he wins the toss & bowls and keeps faith in Jadeja and Pathan. I wish BCCI goes to f****ing hell, IPL makes heavy losses and I only get to see 11 fully committed players on the field when they have indian shirt on. F**k u BCCI, Srikanth, Shashank Manohar, Modi and all. Thanks for making us laughing stock in world cricket.
ViruRulez Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 A choke job ensured we remain winless in super 8s. And Dhoni keeps on repeating in every match that batting is our strength .. once Sachin, Dravid and Laxman retires Dhoni will know how much of a strength batting is for us in any form of cricket
SachDan Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 This anger will last for how many days? Next time when a great batting performance or a great bowling performance wins us a crucial match and our captain nonchalantly walks back to the pavilion, people will be queuing to applaud The Captain :(
SachDan Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Was it a not out? We all know Dhoni loves a not out. :woot: YES! it was !! B->
Serani Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 All good then, Dhoni can continue to pass himself off as a good player.

What can they do if our freaking idiots cannot execute their basic roles well?
The Realist Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Was a seriously selfish innings - the kind Kallis would have been proud of. Who cares about the team's cause when you can be not out and artifically boost your average.
jhakati Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 This anger will last for how many days? Next time when a great batting performance or a great bowling performance wins us a crucial match and our captain nonchalantly walks back to the pavilion, people will be queuing to applaud The Captain :( i think one thing that needs to be explained by kirsten is on what basis does dhoni decide his ownbatting poistion it seems to be totally random, sometimes 3 sometimes 6 or in the middle. today he came up the order cos of the SL spinners, but ran away from the challenge vs aus and WI by coming lower down:giggle:
Ramzz Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 India just does not turn up in big matches. True that :((

Didn't go the same way today though...The way Raina and Gambhir were batting, he came in with the purpose of playing a cameo and soon found out he wasn't quite suited to that on a pitch like this.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Do you want them to come bat' date='bowl, and field for us? What can they do if our freaking idiots cannot execute their basic roles well?[/quote'] They are the ppl who schedule a 2 month IPL just 5 days before T20 World cups. Do you really expect players to perform at intl level after participating in a gruelling 2 month tourney which finishes less than a week before the T20 cup? Players will go where money is but I expect BCCI as custodians of indian cricket to ensure it gives us the best possible chance to perform. Do you think BCCI has done so?
vvvslaxman Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Considering the reactions for a 50 over world cup exit , the reaction for T20 cup exit is mild from fans.
