Temujin Khaghan Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 i think even from the spectator point of view, we would enjoy tight matches where the teams score around 250-275 rather than the 350+ mind-numbing run extravaganza. i believe even our players would not look very dumb when they go on tours to uk, wi , sa and oz
Gunner_Mania Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 If we didn't learn in decades, do you think this T20 loss is going to instill sense in our board?

Temujin Khaghan Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 even our bowlers would stop looking like the sad bunch all the time. bowlers like rp, irfy and sreesanth will get some swing and just imagine how a bowler like ishanth can exploit bouncy conditions.
nballa Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 you can't. the soil is predominantly clay and is slow and low bouncing.
Ramzz Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 you can't. the soil is predominantly clay and is slow and low bouncing. The Bangalore wicket is an example that it can be done. Nothing is impossible.

StriKe Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 BCCI won't learn anything and still produce the same pitch
ViruRulez Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I was about to make such a thread but I saw TK already made it. If we cannot create sporting wickets in India then we should play 80% of our matches outside India especially in bouncy tracks of Aussies, Barbados, some SA tracks etc. ... I dont mind if we lose a few but I want our batsmen to be perfect on bouncy pitches
Ramzz Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 We can make sporting wickets, but the game in India is ruled by sponsors...so no...I don't see BCCI preparing sporting wickets.
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 :giggle: dont blame the pitches blame the pathetic batting talent like raina and jadeja that were picked c'mon, raina is a very hardworking guy. if he has a problem - then he will adapt, sort or do something to find a way to deal with it. this tour will be a wake up call for him. he will improve i believe.

vvvslaxman Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Even if you make such wickets.. who will exploit that :cantstop:

A broken record?
vvvslaxman Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 rp is a buffoon in india. take him to saffer land and he will rock. No he is not a bowler depending on bounce. His strength is swing. All Indian bowlers depend on swing more than bounce. After srinath i am yet to find a decent hit the deck bowler from India. Ishant just showed some initial promise and left the scene. All the others are heavily depending on swing.
nballa Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 i still don't understand why? each country should have its own charm. just like we need to learn how to play short fast balls, other teams should learn how to beat us on slow low wickets. it balances things out nicely. i don't buy into this whole theory of all countries preparing fast tracks.

nballa Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Then keep on loosing outside sub-continent sure we will lose a few but our away record is decent in other formats except 20-20.
