BERGKAMP Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 A lot of the players are overweight (Yuvraj, Rohit, Zaheer, Raina) and a lot are severley underweight (Gambhir, Harbhajan, Nehra etc) These guys are meant to be pro athletes, have they even ever heard of a gym? It is embarassing to look at them when you compare their physiques to some other teams. Most English, Aussies, SA, WI, even Lankans have big biceps, big chests and just generally look big and strong, whereas we just look weak and pathetic or fat and slow. Most of our guys are relatively young as well yet if you didnt know them you would never guess they were professional sportsmen. I would say 90% of Indian actors are in better physical condition than our cricketers. I think its a disgrace, someone needs to get them into shape and not pick them until they get fully fit.

Sachinism Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 The said is that is actually true. Even those guys who are 50+ are in better physical condition than some of our cricketers
TheWall Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 but we dont want cricketers aiming for 6-pack :hysterical:
IKnowU Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 but we dont want cricketers aiming for 6-pack :hysterical: :headshake: i bet they rather die then working out.
DomainK Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 but we dont want cricketers aiming for 6-pack :hysterical: And why not? Six packs is better than what they are right now.
TheWall Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 And why not? Six packs is better than what they are right now. rather than playing cricket u will find the players trying to flex their muscles :hysterical:
Jadoo Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Yuvraj will probably mistake hitting the GYM for hitting on KIM, saala loafer.

vvvslaxman Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Last i heard Yuvi is giving lot of exercise to his wrist.
Jadoo Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Last i heard Yuvi is giving lot of exercise to his wrist. Maybe him getting back with Deepika could sort that problem:winky:
achilles Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Not every cricketer in India can have the body of a Robin Uthappa. That guy worked out like crazy and a year later, the result is for everyone to see . I hope the present batch of India Internationals can, at worst, match him; at best, get a better physique than him. Add to this, working on your game with the experts and legends shouldn't hurt.
f2000560 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 this lot will only pay lip(o) serivce to fitness if they hire akthar !
ViruRulez Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 We should concentrate on fitness for sure .. if we compare our last generation of cricketers like Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly etc. or for that matter even Azhar, Jadeja etc. they were a lot more fitter than our present lot .. UV was awesome when he came and so were Zak, MSD, Raina etc. but they have become overweight and unfit so soon .. they really need to work on their fitness soon and hit the gym
