Exclusive report from St Lucia Pak vs Aus Hailed as the world's best T20 team by Pakistani fans, the Pakistani team has a lot to live up to its reputation. The team made its 3rd successive T20 WC semi-final entry showing its prowess in the format. But this time the road to the final wouldn't be that easy as the team takes on Australia, which has beaten Pakistan in some 11 or 12 consecutive games. Flashing News A fanatic cricket fans group "Jamayat-e-Cricket" has threatened to the steal the T20 WC trophy, If Pakistan doesn't win it! The die hard cricket fans group sent the threat in a video tape to the local TV station. ICC has stepped up its efforts to protect the trophy and commissioned a duplicate to be made considering the threat.

If you look at it logically, both India and Pakistan have the same win/loss ratio. Moreover, both teams have beaten the same good team and have lost against all the other good teams. But one is in the Semi-final and other is not. Its just that Pak were extremely lucky that everything fell into their lap. India too, had to win just 1 game in the 2nd round to reach semifinal, which they failed to do.

Brilliant performance by Australia. White and Hussey got them home in style. I wasn't sure whom to support for the final but with a performance like this one, I am going to support them! I was in a meeting when the game was going on but I had my laptop open with cricinfo. And following Hussey's performance was just great. If I recall correctly, they needed 18 runs of the last over. And I was like if a spinner bowls, Australia will win this (3 6s). Then I saw Ajmal's name, and then I didn't even bother to look at the card again (till now) knowing that Australia would go through! For Pak, they got pawned again for the upteenth time (it's not even a joke anymore). I don't see too many teams losing this one (yes against Aus too) after scoring 190 odd but it was Pak. The saying is Pak can win on its day but those days are getting fewer and fewer. Now it's more like Pak can make you win. An entry to the final, would have given its fans a lot to cheer about esp knowing cricket is one of things that cheers up the God forsaken country.
