All they could muster was a win against Afghans (not even convincing) and a okay sort of win against the kiwis.. They looked clueless for most part

achilles Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Different ways of looking at the same league. We Indians whine endlessly of a league which has changed the face of cricket. And rather being the country which benefits the most from it, we decide to sit in a corner, with a batli in hand and mourn about fatigue and this and that. Rather than getting selections right, we chose to pick injured players. Thats not the IPL's fault.
veer Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 it is not white and black.. playing IPL is good but playing IPL right before a major tournament is not.. we had a freaking 5 days off in between these two... it is obviously bad.. travelling must be painful for any players especially foreigners.. BCCI needs to manage IPL schedule properly..

The bottom line is they played sh*t, and they played crap becuase they were ill prepared. Poor team selection and also lack of effort on the players part to prepare themselves against the short ball is probably the main reason we're out. I think rather than dwelling on the exit, it would be wiser for selectors and players to admit that they *****ed up and move on, hopefully with a keen eye to improve their weaknesses.

Veeru was out too.. lot of them carried fatigue and injurries through IPL.. its easy to sit here and say IPL didnt efffect.. but when you actually play 14 games + travelling + Parties..+ functions, it takes lot out of you..

They lost to India in the preliminary stages where India had a good day. Then they lost to an inspired Pakistan. This is nothing for them to hang their heads and to think about replacing players like Kallis. That would be nothing short of stupid.

South Africans said that their players didnt get enough match practise in the IPL.. they are not blaming IPL and please inform your board not to send pakistani players for the next IPL too :winky:
