I missed that - That was my first game at a stadium and i was totally into watching the game, wasn't paying too much attention to other stuff. By the way, there is a HUGE difference between watching a game on TV vs being at the stadium - you only see what they show you on TV, you miss quite a few details. At the INdia-Windies game - i was the one dancing right next to where the cheerleaders were sitting :) - in the Greenidge and Haynes Stand (by mid-wicket). I was really hoping that India would win that one, and talked a lot of smack to the cheerleaders and the windies fans around me. Till the bitter end, i kept announcing loudly to all those around me, that India will CRUISE to 170. I made quite a few windies fans nervous for a bit, but they were all very cool about it. I dont really drink, but the cheerleaders urged me to have some of their beers, and after saying no a couple of times, I said what the heck, and had a couple of Banks :). Towards the end of the day, the guys in the video playing the music, asked me if i wanted free tickets for the Final - too bad I had to get my lazy ass back to work and real life :) A couple of windies fans insisted on buying me a couple of beers after the game - it was interesting hanging out with a bunch of drunk guyanese and bajans talking cricket. Good little trip..

There's a difference between the videos not existing and you not being able to see it because you never looked for it.

The carnival type atmosphere is usually characteristic of the Caribbean. These instruments were barred in the 2007 World Cup and the ticket prices were quite high and the locals were ignored for the tourists and we all know how that tournament turned out to be. The theme of this tournament was Bring it on and rightly the instruments and the fervor associated with the West Indies was on display. This type of atmosphere can be seen during Test matches as well, perhaps not to the same extent but the Caribbean flavor and enthusiasm is still there.
