Here there are two weekets.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 these days there is too much talk about the toss deciding the match.. win the toss, bat first when the pitch is at its best. and the team batting 2nd is at disadvantage as they get an used pitch which becomes slow.. ppl have even gone to the extent of suggesting splitting the 100 over game into 4 innings of 25 overs each.. In any ground, the middle square where the pitches are made, has atleast 4/5 pitches. so, why dont they prepare 2 pitches adjacent to each other and use one for the 1st innings and the other for the 2nd innings? two adjacent pitches cant be very different from each other, if the same treatment is given for both at the time for preparation... These days, a pitch that holds good for 100 overs and behave similarly in both the innings is considered as a good pitch.. so why dont they just make 2 pitches exactly similar and use them for each innings? the behind the sight screen cameras have to be adjusted a bit during the lunch break to cover the other pitch.. but what the heck.. its not a big deal i would say.. I always wondered why they cant go with this simple and easy solution instead of scratching their head.. anyone thinks its a good idea?
