Trouble started from there onwards when Andy Flower retired. Before that they were an extremely decent team. There were plenty of occasions where they knocked out teams like India, Sri lanka, etc in a Tri Series to lock horns with some other team in the finals. Even in Test matches, they were pretty competitive. I mean they weren't 'great' by any means, but overall they were quite good/decent and on par with New Zealand of that time. Andy Flower till this day is one of my favorite batsman. I rate him alongside Tendulkar and Lara as the finest player of spin I've seen. Then there were decent players like Heath Streak, Grant Flower, Stuart Carslile, Alastair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, etc. I mean they weren't minnows by any means.
