Herculus Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Please read this post after reading my other posts on Pro35,The World Test Championship,World Series,Sharjah Cup & World Club Cup. These are my suggestions about what ICC should do to improve world cricket after the end of 2011 World Cup. They should do the following : Replace the 50 over format with Pro35. Adopt the World Test Championship. Launch the World Series for the Associate nations played every two years. Launch the World Club Cup. Reduce the no. of T20s.Organise World T20 only in the year between the World Serieses. Launch the Asia/Africa/Euro/American Cups & the Sharjah Cup. This should be the list of major ICC international tournaments : 2011 - ICC World Cup 2012 - World Series & Asia Cup 2013 - World T20 & Africa/Euro/American Cup 2014 - World Series & Asian Games T20 2015 - ICC World Cup The World Test Championship will be held in the period between the two world cups. Besides the Sharjah Cup will be held 4 times a year. And also a nation will play a 3 Pro35 series while touring another nation alongwith Test or FC match series. World Club Cup & CLT20 will be held every year at the club level. For Example : Let us consider India 's programme for the year 2013 : Jan-Feb - Aus Tour 3 Tests , 3 Pro35s ,1 T20 April - Sharjah Cup (2 weeks , max 5 Pro35s) May-June - England Tour 4 Tests , 3 Pro35s ,1 T20 July - World T20 Sep - Sharjah Cup (2 weeks , max 5 Pro35s) Nov-Dec - Pak at home 5 Tests , 3 Pro35s Total - 12 Tests , 16 Pro35s (in the year of Asia Cup it will be 22 Pro35s) ,5 T20s Let us consider Holland 's programme for the year 2013 : Jan-Feb - Bangladesh Tour 3 FCs , 3 Pro35s ,1 T20 April - Aug - World Series Sept - Scots at home 3 FCs , 3 Pro35s Oct - Afghans at home 3 FCs , 3 Pro35s Nov-Dec - Namibia Tour 3 FCs , 3 Pro35s ,1 T20 Total - 12 FCs , min. 22 Pro35s (in the year without World Series it will be 12) ,2 T20s This should be the international calender according to me.It will give world cricket stability,interest and more viewers around the world and save the sport.
