Sachinism Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Northamptonshire are using their overseas player Chaminda Vaas as an all rounder, he's been bowling brilliantly and now is opening the batting. Yesterday he scored 73 off 49 balls :omg: http://www.cricinfo.com/countycricket2010/engine/current/match/435770.html
Karan114 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Damn impressive...and the attack contained Albie Morkel, Harmison and Plunkett as well, which is pretty good for a domestic game
Clarke Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Albie Morkel + Steve Harmison sharing the new ball in T20 ? cannon fodder obviously :haha:
Roshanrocks Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 :dc: all players will be re- bid this IPL... God knows which player will play for whom this time around :((
achilles Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Vaas as opener? N'hants must be really a batsman short. But 73 off 49 is sensational for someone written off and at the young age of 39.
b555 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 all players will be re- bid this IPL... God knows which player will play for whom this time around :(( sachin for pune :eyedance:
achilles Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Keep dreaming. It might be a realistic possibility. If Sahara just goes all-out after Sachin and settles for a weak unit, there is nothing Reliance can do. There is a budget cap. So if Sahara spends like 4mil on Sachin, Reliance will not risk matching them coz they wouldn't like to have a one-man army.
Sir john Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 He score very much runs in t20 for them.that called full utilisation of ability.
b555 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 He score very much runs in t20 for them.that called full utilisation of ability. and this is called funny utilisation of english :hatsoff:
Gunner_Mania Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Vaas as opener? N'hants must be really a batsman short. But 73 off 49 is sensational for someone written off and at the young age of 39. They must have reserved the opener's slot for their overseas player, since they were trying to get Viru. In the absence of Viru they must have used Vaas to open:)
achilles Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 They must have reserved the opener's slot for their overseas player' date=' since they were trying to get Viru. In the absence of Viru they must have used Vaas to open:)[/quote'] Yes. Quite possible. But still. They might as well play their local player in the slot over Vaas coz it will be unfair to Vaas if he gets humiliated for having a few bad games with the bat.
IKnowU Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Hello brothers and if there are any sisters Hi to u as well. I am new to this forum. Hi all again. I know many my fellow indian sisters are busy dancing in front of cameras. Anyway back to cricket. I am new to cricket. But i have been reading many cricket books and I know the game better than most. Last book I read was How to play cricket by Paul Thomas. Chaminda Vaas is more consistent than Dinesh Karthik. I think like England do with SA players if we can buy off Sri Lanka players. As they are next door very much easy too. Vaas should open for India with Shewag. I don't like our brother Gambhir because he has no manners. I even noticed he doesn't brush teeth and is similar to Scotsmen from Scotland. !
IKnowU Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 My brother i am new to cricket but even I know better than you. 39 in cricketing terms is not young. According to the book i read about Cricket - The crossroads. Most cricket players retire age 35 36. This is why i'm am so glad and happy about this forum indiancricketfans. Because we can talk to each other and learn. I'm glad that even being so new to cricket game i manage to teach achilles brother a lesson. See you around yarrr. :cantstop:
IKnowU Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 @IKNOWU What is this? Why you highlight my post and post pictures yarr. I am new to cricket. If i make mistake please teach me like i did to achilles brother. I think you are spamming.I'm sorry but why? Im not sure if I should take this seriously.......but what the heck. Firstly players from two different international nations cant represent a single national team. Secondly what has a sisters and all the other random stuff have to with this? And can I ask you what cricket book you are reading?
Praveen129 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Very impressive performance again.I believe this is Vass' 3rd or 4th man of the match performance in county T20.
