Once a Govt. takes a decision (for example of price rise) what are the possible ways to protest in a better way instead of these country wide strikes etc? The best way possible is to wait for the next election. But in India, Congress is the only, by default, natural party to rule and ideally there shouldn't be any opposition parties, I think people should just resign to their fate and take a 1 party rule as God's gift to the citizen of India. Hopefully they should just do away with elections etc. in near future. Who needs opposition. They are of no use, anyway. Why not have a single party rule and people can live happily ever after..

The intention is right. The method may be wrong. I've said this in the past and I repeat again-

Its true that the Rich are getting rich and gareeb aur bhi gareeb ho rahe hai. And the common man doesn't really care about the schemes of the government if the same government can't even fill their bellies. which is what I said in Post #5. Reducing the taxes might help but even if the Centre does it, the state government might not. Taxes are their bread & butter and if it is a non-Congress State guv, expect ZERO adherence to the centre's directives. Also, the development factor is a crucial one coz eventhough we have massive execution issues with our projects, they still reach completion, thanks to the silent workers, whoever they may be. Cutting taxes might hurt them and demotivate them from working hard coz their budget is already tight, given the peanuts they get after the "tax depreciation" that takes place at various levels. The keyword for the government in this term is "balance".
