But at the end of the day, apple's man USP is itunes and it's apps, and thats where I feel not only this, but any product coming into this sort of market will fall down.

With good backup, they can actually create enough apps to make it popular.

If they can get it real cheap with less bells and whistles and it takes off from price POV may be the app guys will want to jump in. It looks pretty good although it is tough to evaluate products unless you actually use them. Good to see some hw innovation too in India.

Good to see some hw innovation too in India. wont all the Android based application run on this , even though they would have tweaked the OS a little here ? yeah , finally good too see some action in Hw tech in India .. even the Hyrana based Micromax is done pretty well ..still no nokia or Apple , but the phones cost as much as the chinese ones , much better quality though ...hopefully Notion Ink turns out to be the trigger the industry needed .

The clip said they are releasing their own SDK which makes me believe apps will need to modified to use that SDK otherwise the guy would have said in addition to all standard Android apps. I could be wrong though.

There are plenty of applications and instruments made in Japan and China but they never make it to the bigger market in the USA.
