nope he hasn't. He missed Don's record by a whisker and would have surpassed him today had he got the 100 last match. But he surely is in the form of his life :yay:

Exactly my thoughts. Even during his heyday in 1998-2001, he didn’t score 5 100s in 6 matches. Holy Cow, whats come over Sach these days? He’s scoring 100s for fun. :giggle: He’s literally leaving the likes of Pwnting, Kallis, Mohammmed Yousuf, J’dene in his trail dust and zooming ahead.

The rest of the cricketing world is probably scratching their heads in a mix of awe, admiration and puzzlement, even as they wonder how someone can be this consistent, for this long, so late into his career. The real ‘turnaround’ started versus England in 2007. He then had that record breaking series against Australia in Australia. Up until now, he was still scoring runs, but he still looked patchy. The fortress like feel that generally accompanies his stay at the crease was quite not there. But it wasn’t till New Zealand in 2008 that Sachin looked like he had managed to turn the clock back. He made that unbeaten 159 (he retired hurt in the 44th over), showing some early indications. But in the 100 he made in the test series that followed, he hit some staggering shots, especially through the covers. It was a sense of déjà vu, like never before. That was when you thought – ‘Hang on… This Sachin here…I havent seen him for nearly 6-7 years..’. It is a feeling only another Sachin fan who has followed his career for the last 15 years (and there many here) can understand. From then on, it has essentially been one master-piece after another, so frequent that you cannot keep count anymore. The mere fact that hardly anyone even talks about a Sachin 100 these days shows how prolific he has become, 21 years after his debut.
