I think one of the reasons that India are not seen as the runaway #1 team is that they don't win everywhere (drawing series in SA and SL, and of course now only being able to, at best, secure a draw in England). The ranking system will still make a team that doesn't lose #1, but if we're talking dominance, then many people will want to see that team winning in various locations, especially against the top ranked teams. If England do become #1 after this series, many people will still not class them as dominant because they haven't won enough series in various locations, even though by the rankings system, they will be no.1 :bootyshake:

Spot on. But I do reckon that England might have the best chance of building such a dominant side, of course it will still need to be translated into reality but I give them better than even chance.
