VRV Singh Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I notice also that most people (myself aside) have completely discarded Jadeja. I feel this is slightly unfair as he can be very resourceful to us in this format and give the side a good balance at number 7. His T20 exploits were admittedly laughable but on the whole he is someone who can give us 10 overs, a couple of wickets and decent economy consistently The batting order can be adjusted according to circumstance as there are enough players capable of clearing the ropes.

He is pretty decent in ODIs for us as an alrounder. I agree with your team.
Andy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 We need to unearth some good spinners or medium pacers before the wc.
VRV Singh Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 With Gary's comments about Irfan, do we think that's the end of his prospects for 2011 or is there a ray of hope if he improves bowling soon? I have no worries about his batting - would be an ideal no.7 or even occasional pinch hitter up the order in that scenario - but he cannot be considered if he can't be relied on as 3rd seamer to be economical at least
Lord Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 ^ he can certainly do okay.other seamers arent world beating either
Herculus Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 Yusuf Pathan or Ravindra Jadeja ? Irfan Pathan or P Kumar ?
