How familiar the brothers are with the players is also evident from the UK-based **********.net, a popular fan website that regularly carries out interviews with Pakistan's top cricketers. In a number of interviews with players such as Salman Butt and Saeed Ajmal, Azhar and Mazhar were thanked for setting up the interaction.
lol, no publicity is bad publicity I guess :giggle:

hypothetical scenario. if the umpire screws up and does not call the no ball' date=' assuming the clown amir bowls another no ball. would the bookie still make money as its still the first ball of the over?[/quote'] It will not be the first ball of the over. Also, according to NOW, these no-balls were just a trial run to show that the players were available for fixing. they were ready to throw two ODI matches and this was just a "preview" of the "goods"

http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=141375 i started a thread on the pakistan match fixing saga with the findings of the Justice Quayyum probe, his recommendations of fines/guilt of main characters-Wasim Akram, Waqar, Salim Malik,Ata Ur Rehman,Ijaz Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed,Saeed Anwar... briefly: All the above were found guilty of indulging in Match fixing and actually thrown matches against NZ on an away series, in a singer cup match in SL, and a few other instances like Saeed Anwar retiring when he was not injured... and Wasim Akram instructing Ata Ur rehman to bowl badly.... after the **** hit the roof, PCB realised that they have to ban atleast a couple players and imposed life bans on Saleem Malik but unfortunately banned Ata ur rehman , who was a sort of approver. Rashid Latif and Aamer Sohail were the whistle blowers who were also asked to keep quiet. PCB had to yield to the pressure from influential quarters and realised that they cant humiliate Akram , Waqar, Anwar & co and also required the services of these star players.they forced Justice Quayyum to tone down his fines and even did not enforce his recommendations seriously. they decided that Justice Quayyum can only suggest but PCB is not bound to follow his recommendations which included- Dont allow Mushtaq ahmed anywhere near the team , dont appoint Akram as captain again etc. now, if the PCB had taken strict action on Akram and co, this current fiasco may not have happened. PCB messed up for whatever reasons and that must have emboldened the newer crop of Pakistani cricketers to indulge in fixing again. but I dont expect much to come out of this anyway. Asif was defended and reinstated at the first opportunity despite the Opium, nandralone scandals.the same Pak fans who are showing their displeasure and shock at the 'spot fixing' were defending Asif and wanted his ban to be lifted quickly, JUST because their bowling attack was weak.they were happy to compromise on integrity for talent! the PCB compromised on Akram & co, despite proof that they threw matches!!! same thing will happen now.they will come out of the shock, would realise that with out Asif and Ameer, their bowling would lose the sting.they would die for these 2 fixers to return as quicklu as possible.they would start defending that these 2 bowlers were uneducated, they were guilty of a very small mistake, they have already suffered enough, they were acting on the instructions of the captain, they are too afraid not to obey the captain/bookies/fixers/their family would have been targeted, blah, blah.... and would blame everything on Kamran Akmal, Salman butt! i am positively sure that Amir would again represent pakistan very soon, may be in 2 years time.would not be surprised if he gets an opportunity as quick as the world cup.because for paki fans, intregrity is not an important issue at all.they will justify spot fixing with all kinds of crap.unless they lose the 4th test by 3 runs , they would not realise the issue, but am afraid they lose the current test by 250 runs! this too shall pass- that is the attitude of Pcb and Pak fans, ex.cricketers. just wait for a few days, Imran, Wasim, Asif Iqbal and many others would support the reinstatement of Mohammed Amir. i wonder what ICC would do... may be the PCB will take help of BCCI like last time when Asif was given just 1 year ban for Nandralone saga in IPL.BCCI would be a willing friend because they need votes to dominate ICC.
