There is a difference in being rated for one' s skills and being rated for entertainment. Of course kids love batsmen who hit out wildly. No one rates him as a match winner but people rate him for entertainment value In circus we have acrobats who take your breath away and you also have jokers for entertainment. Everyone loves the joker. In movies we have the heroine dancing on romantic songs and we have the tawayaf shaking her butt, all the front stand youths love the tawayaf. There are many ways to be popular in the world, the right way and the wrong way. We have artists like Billy Joel and we have under talented drug addicted rockstars who are famous more for their antics than their music In each case both kinds are very popular but as a true cricket fan, never confuse one with the other

Again with the overreactions, all i said was Afridi would right now make it to any T20/ODI side in the world which is completely true and you are making it sound like i said he's Garfield Sobers. And for that matter Irfan Pathan was the next big thing India lot of hype, comparisons to Wasim Akram aplenty and rated very highly until he completely forgot how to bowl.
