BossBhai is the POTW#5 winner!! He gets 10 million ICF$. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Busy week, So didnt have the time to do it yesterday. Anyway, nominations aren't really coming in. Please take the time to just let it be known if you see any good posts. Only 3 nominations this week and 2 by me :hmmm:..I swear its not rigged:winky: 1. Zap's IPL/CL/T20 Flip Flops

In the year 2008: When IPL started, the elitists said that IPL will kill Indian Test cricket and to a lesser extent ODI cricket. 2010: India is #1 in tests and #2 in ODI’s even reaching #1 in ODI’s for a very brief amount of time. ------------------------------------------- In the year 2009: When Pakistan won the World T20, everybody said that missing IPL was the main reason and some even suggested other countries to follow suit. 2010: Pakistan, still not allowed into IPL, crashes out and England win their 1st world title on the back of Kevin Pietersen’s Man of the series performance, who just weeks prior led an IPL team. ----------------------------------------- In the year 2009: When all 3 IPL teams failed to go to the semifinals in CL 2009, critics doubted IPL quality and said that IPL teams were crap. 2010: Not only 2 out of the 4 teams that made the semifinals were IPL teams, but an IPL team easily wins the finals to be crowned champions with its only loss in the entire tournament came in a super-over. What more, it wasn't the foreign players or even Indian international players, but local and fringe players that emerged as Man of match, Man of the series, leading run scorer and leading wicket taker in the tournament. ----------------------------------------- There were and is lot of criticisms on IPL and Champions league with people blaming everything they could think of on them but somehow, they are always debunked. I am not saying that IPL and T20 is the best, but just that it doesn’t warrant the amount of criticism it gets. Let’s just stop with the criticisms based on one-off results till an actual pattern emerges.
2. BossBhai's reply to the above
Not IPL per se but ANY overdose of tontee-tontee will most certainly kill proper kirkut. Just wait and watch when the likes of Flatappas(copyright Proff :hail: ) and Virats start thinking like they are the sooper stars without playing a single Test match while their bank balances have multiple commas in them. WTF in the right mind will bother about doing the hard yards required for Test kirkut when jujubi tontee-tontee pays the bills of their entire neighbourhood ? The people who took us to No#1 i.e MSD,Baasu,RD,VVS,AK,Gangs,VS,Zack,Harbi are all from the pre tontee-tontee generation ... come back when we are still the test champions with Joginder , Ashwin , MV , Viratji, Badri, Flatappa, Baasu-in-waiting (a.k.a Rohit Sharma) form the core of "Test Team" ..... half of them will never play test kirkut. Test Kirkut is the Big Daddy of all ball games ... and pwns tontee-tontee

You don't have to give POTW every week just because there is a system in place. If there are not enough nominations for one week, then they can be considered for the next.

I think the illustration did it for me - also padosi bashing is always awesome... BossBhai needs to try to "appeal to the masses" by trying to commenting to controversial topics :P ( but his post is "academically" true! and thats prob y i hate virat "self-proclaimed king" kohli)
