DomainK Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 The Australian ground fielding in this match has been top class. There have been the occasional misses and odd bounces, but generally they have maintained that high standard. They have saved a lot of runs and some boundaries putting in the extra hard work and the typical slide stops. They have been alert, agile, aggressive and accurate. In fact a couple of times Kohli was caught napping taking it easy and then realizing the ball is coming back much faster than he judged.
fineleg Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 we have been doing that for ages Have you been watching cricket and following Indian fielding over the "ages"? To say that our fielding has been doing the same "for ages" compared to SA and Aus fielding LOL Ofcourse we are better than we were in 1990. That does not mean we have consistently progressed and now the same as SA and Aus fielding! The Indian fielding itself was better a few years ago, and there has been some regression.

'we have been doing that for ages' - i meant we have been worshipping those teams for their fielding for ages now. dint mean, our fielding. my point is, brilliant fielding alone does not win matches for you. may be one out of ten matches where 3 or 4 brilliant run outs would have decided the match result. but mainly its the batting and bowling that wins matches for you. so why keep worshipping them for this
King Tendulkar Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 They keeping missing the stumps. Poor throws
