Indian squad: Vijay, Dhawan, Kohli, Yuvraj, Dhoni (capt and wk), Raina, Tiwary, Ashwin, Praveen, Vinay, Nehra, Munaf, Jadeja, Rohit. My pick would be: Vijay Dhawan Kohli Yuvraj Raina Dhoni Tiwary Ashwin Praveen Nehra Munaf

India should play Dhawan even though he went for a duck today but it was his first international inning. No need for Nohit Sharma.

I'll retain Dhawan over Nohit Sharma! Dhawan just got one innings, even Dhoni made a duck today. Drop Vinay Kumar. Not sure whether Munaf Patel or R.Jadeja...Munaf cannot field, does not know how to even hold a bat. On the other hand, will R.Jadeja survive powerplay overs (while bowling)??? Tough call.

I have no idea how vinay kumar got selected for India. These kind of picks just amaze me, its like they look at stats and never even see the player bowl. Blatantly not good enough. Rohit should come in for Tiwary, whi I really dont rate and have no idea how he got selcted

Sharma has scored loads of tons and runs. Tiwary what has he done? A few slogs in IPL and thats about it as far as I can see. Tiwary was an odd selection imo.

Loads of runs? :eyedance: Oh in IPL :winky: While I dont fancy S.Tiwary too much, he just got one match. So obviously Dhoni and selectors will give him a run till NZ series, I think.

Munaf did bowl well on the Goa wicket last time we played there against Sri Lanka just before the World Cup in 07. But then, he was in good form, seeing his current form, and "fitness" levels, i will be more than happy if he performs half of what he did.

In that case Jaddu should be made our captain for the next game :giggle: Rohit is a tried and tested failure, he should be nowhere near the team atleast as of now. And Tiwari is there to do exactly that - slogging.

No matter what our coach and the selectors will turn the blind eye to irfan, so lets be realistic. And he needs to have atleast 1 good domestic season anyways.

I hope he proves me wrong though.

Probably Uthappa will be a better choice. :hmmm:
