We, the Montgomery College of Maryland, won the tournament. What team you playing for and stuff? The main tournament takes place in march

University of Florida is participating for the first time and I play for them. Are you going to be there or do you automatically qualify?

Are you going to be there or do you automatically qualify? they had regionals in our dc area, where we lost in semis. We don't need to qualify for the march tournament though. We are already qualified for that. Best of luck to you and your team. I remember the best team we had faced from florida was the Uni of South Florida, which lost to us on both the times it came in front of us. 2 weeks back, we lost to North Carolina. and hence we didn't reach the final. Our batting crumbled. but that said, we have 2 of the America's best bats in the team who might go on to represent U.S

Our batting crumbled. but that said, we have 2 of the America's best bats in the team who might go on to represent U.S thats pretty cool.. we have one u-19 player. he bats well but he seems very immature (cricket-wise). This is our 1st tournament (we don't even have a pitch here - we play on grass :(( ). I'm luking fwd to playing and qualifying for the march tournament - will keep u updated with the results and will also post some pics ;)

The tip from me is - It's a big ground. You definately need to play a spinner or two since in this level cricket there would be lot of players you woul dsee going for big shots and get caught in trying to look for a six. It's a decent size boundary so won't be cleared with ease. Spinners should get you bagful of wickets. Outfield is fast, a touch and you might earn a four. also when your team is batting, best view you can get is to go on top near the commentry box, the Lloyad Jodah guy should allow you and your team to go upthere. It will give you a great view to watch from the box. Brilliant view that is. Also you will meet another great person from Italy - MR. Nino Dilloreto.

Thanks for the tips... that kinda makes sense too. I'll definitely try to grab the commentary box view. I did get to meet Nino - he's really nice and very enthusiastic. His Italian descent and enthusiasm for cricket are a little contradicting but he has worked hard with the guys here to get our team into the regionals. Btw, USF has a nice team but they play with alums (which is not really fair). I think we can give them a run for their money but our team is still in the early stages.
