India beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets with four balls to spare on the Duckworth-Lewis Method in the first match of the second annual Cricket Legends of Barbados Inc. (CLOBI) Cup Twenty20 championship at Kensington Oval here this evening. Set a revised target of 127 off 15 overs after rain intervened at the end of Sri Lanka’s innings, India scored 129 for two off 14.2 overs. Opener Vikram Rathour topscored with 63 not out off 39 balls with eight fours and two sixes to earn the man-of-the-match award. Rathour and Amay Khurasiya, with an unbeaten 49 not outoff 33 balls, added 104 in 10.1 ovders for the third wicket. Summarised scores: Sri Lanka 158-9 (20 overs) (Saman Jayantha 61 not out (39 balls, 5 fours, 2 sixes, Romesh Kaluwitharana 15, Hermantha Wickramaratne 15, Aravinda de Silva 14, Sanath Jayasuriya 13, Marvin Atapattu 11; Abey Kuruvilla 4-27, Nilesh Kulkarni 3-22).
