The Batsman Formely Known as Mahendra Dhoni

Well generally it is believed that opening in the ODIs and Batting 2 down in the tests is the best position to score maximum number of runs. tht is why india sends its best batsman there. It doesnt necessarily mean that the best batsman is also best under a pressure situation,. In test matches, laxman is our best batter in pressure cooker situation in second innings and while batting with the tail, imo in odis, dhoni is the best under pressure, imo
Corrected. And with the first line of your post you are clearly targeting Sachin there, aren't you ? And from where have you heard that its is generally said so ? I want the link/source :--D And FYI Laxman has done tremendously well under pressure for us, but having said that, Sachin has also played some delightful knocks to save matches for us from very precarious situations. And since you are a "Blind Dhoni Worshipper" I don't think you will agree to it, but Dhoni isn't the best batsman under pressure for India, i still feel he plays well when others set up a platform for him, or he has a good batsman going great guns at the otjher end partnering him.The other partner scores the boundaries and takes the pressure off Dhoni, Dhoni takes some singles and give strike to the other player, which is a very wise thing to do.the moment the partnership is broken, Dhoni looks toothless on most occasions, other than playing against Minnows.that is what i feel about his "Batting under pressure". Rest is upto you to believe.

another rubbish post. YOu are learning fast from andy. dhoni has done quite well against the pakis, against whom the pressure is more and we hate to lose. i am not any worshiper , dont cry arnd calling him goddy, baasu, buddha etc etc lol tells your lack of cricketing knowledge tht you need links to believe that opening in the ODIs and Batting in middle order in the tests is the best position to score maximum number of runs.

 So you are quantifying my posts as useless and garbage, and your post is one of the most refined and absolutely pure post without any mistakes or incorrectness, right ? Dhoni has done well against Pakis, singlehandedly ? Dhoni have got support from Sehwag and Yuvraj many a times. And some of his innings that were brutal were early in his career and we don't often see that now. Don't you agree that Dhoni doesn't take the pain to score boundaries, and ask the other partner to do so.He doesn't believe in taking pressure off from the other man, but believes in putting more pressure on him by telling "Mate i will give you the strike, you score boundaries".No i am not saying that he has done anything wrong, but i am just trying to point out that Dhoni is not under pressure that you think he is. Also who said that opening the batting in ODIs is easiest ? Give me the source where that is written or is it you own logical theory (although its not at all logical by any means).

And Vaibhav did you see the field placements opted by Dhoni, a deep point a Long on just after Harby was smoked for a six in that direction. He is too defensive as a captain, its as simple as that. I never was, and I am not a Dhoni's captaincy fan.I think he is nothing special, a captain is as good as his team. And India has been in superb form in the last couple of years, and that is the reason we are no.1 and not because of any Dhoni's brilliance.

He is back. Great knock:two_thumbs_up: Easily the best batsman/wk we have.
He was always our best wkb easily. And as I predicted he's back in form, we're firm favorites in SA series :two_thumbs_up:
