Hindustani Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Whats the good score to declare? I believe India should declare at a target of 230/240 ' date=' playing for an hour in next session. Giving Kiwis a target of 230/240 in 50 overs...I'm sure Kiwis will go for the target and fall like nine pinsB->[/quote'] actually the best thing will be if India get bowled out in next 30 mins, giving kiwis target of 220 in 50 overs, as john said, the chances of declaring are not much
Hindustani Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 bhajji kya talwaar lekar bowling karega? :haha::haha:

There is a slim chance of an Indian win from here. They are never going to chase down 220+, but we may just get 10 wickets in the remaining overs.
Guest Gunner Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 India are killing test cricket with this kind of unimaginative plays. THey lead by 225 runs with 50 overs in the day and yet continue to bat. Our selectors, players and fans are all cut from the same cloth.

Guest Gunner Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 what need of taking risk here, dhoni is happy with draw. need to play safe cricket here. THank you for proving my point. YOu want to play safe against the 8th ranked team on the world...wahh!!
Sir john Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 THank you for proving my point. YOu want to play safe against the 8th ranked team on the world...wahh!! see,we can't go for a win here, our bowlers not in good forum,so why we take risk. if win is not possible, than kill the possibility of other team win. this is team india strartegy always.

There are still 48 overs left in the day.
achilles Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Expect Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni & Suresh Raina to score heavily in the next game, now that their non-performance in the game has been shot into prominence.
Sir john Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 :wall: Why can't we go for a win here? There are still 48 overs left in the day. our bowlers need more over to take kiwis wicket,so we are not going to win here.simple.

THey lead by 225 runs with 50 overs in the day and yet continue to bat. Our selectors' date=' players and fans are all cut from the same cloth.[/quote'] I was hoping India would declare at ~ 220 odd and than give Kiwis 50 odd overs to chase the score. We rather preserve the lead (in general) than go for the win.

I bet Raina will score big and pujara will warm benches..
Sir john Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 my thread become true. India is in safe position now.:yay:
urbestfriend Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Its good time to declare. There are two chances (1) Kiwis will go for a win, they'll have to take their chances. This pitch is not easy to score off, hence more chance of Indian bowlers picking wickets (2) Kiwis play it safe for a draw..!
Gunner_Mania Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Good score to declare will be when Harbhajan gets a 100. Screw our chances of winning. He has bailed us out so as the thanks givings he can have a hundred.
