achilles Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 "The Raja-Radia Tapes" http://outlookindia.com/article.aspx?268064 Holy Effing Cow!!.. Old news. These tapes were played on air in a sting operation 6 months ago and he still carried on, like I said in the other thread.
urbestfriend Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 There are many tapes..:nervous: Bigger question is who is letting out these tapes now..! I can't believe people in Governement didn't knew about this earlier..! So why release these tapes now? Very strange though...!
achilles Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 ^ Thats the diplomatic way of getting the message across to the people concerned that the government has the remote in their hand. So its better to listen to them than try any stunts.

achilles Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 But why would they want to anger their humble servants from the media :headshake: The answer lies in your question.
kabira Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Have people gone through the tapes ... it seems like the whole of India is on sale to the highest bidder. Ambanis, Tata, Mittal all are involved .. everyone is corrupt to the core. GOD SAVE THIS COUNTRY!! I have to disagree on Tata. He may not be involved directly. Ofcourse i am talking about Ratan Tata, He just said he had give up on airline company because 3 cabinet ministers asked him money. instead of paying them he gave up on the idea
saneindian Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Burkha Dutt tapes [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIgOItvvsS8]YouTube - Barkha Dutt Nira Radia All Tapes.3gp[/ame] WOW!! Finally what we have been hearing all along has been caught on tape!! And these jokers like Burkha and Rajdeep are supposedly part of the "independent media" and cry hoarse about probity and integrity. How hollow. Wonder why the national media is so silent on this one!!

Wonder why the national media is so silent on this one!! See, everyone holds some secret about the other mediaperson. If X points a finger at Y, Y can nail X as well (ofcourse not in the flamboi sense, but literally). Hence, they all keep quiet. Has DD been covering this? If they are, it shows that this is a government endorsed "leak".

seedhi Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 No coevrage on DD so far. Surprisingly the Daily Pioneer, a pro BJP paper has been silent as well.Understandable, kharcha paani kaise chalega when Ambani, Tata withdraw their ads. Outlook, India Today, Mid Day, Open Mag etc need to be given credit for running the story. NDTV and IBN havent even mentioned it. To be fair to Pioneer however, they were the first to break the 2G scam in 2008 and have consistently followed it. I am a bit let down they did not carry all the transcripts of Radia especially with Barkha and Vir. They focused more on Raja and DMK.

This Niira Radia is rather close to him and he will have to answer for this as well. You can argue that all this is necessary to survive in a corrupt system - but then dont hold him up as a saint.
saneindian Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 http://www.mid-day.com/news/2010/nov/191110-open-magazine-transcripts-vir-sanghvi-barkha-dutt-niira-radia-telecom-scam.htm The transcripts of some of the tapes.

(National Bureau chief IBN) @bhupendrachaube Expose wrongdoings, corruption, but dont expose reputations of people who are icons of an entire generation

These hypocrites dont hesitate one second if it is a politician such as Varun Gandhi or godmen or bureaucrats. Journos arent sacred, they need to be exposed as well.
ravishingravi Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 No coevrage on DD so far. Surprisingly the Daily Pioneer, a pro BJP paper has been silent as well. I think it is smart. BJP has to deal with the media in the future one way or the other

(National Bureau chief IBN) @bhupendrachaube Expose wrongdoings, corruption, but dont expose reputations of people who are icons of an entire generation Quid Pro Quo? What about the padmashrees that Burkha, Rajdeep & Co received from the UPA government early this year? That was certainly not for their journalistic achievements, that was for acting as the congress mouthpiece all these years.
achilles Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 icons of an entire generation? who/what is he talking about? He's talking about Barkha. She's an inspiration for a generation (if you don't take it as an over-statement from his side) of young professional women, who aim to match guys step-for-step in the world of media and elsewhere.
Desi Cartman Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Rajdeep jee himself sold the tapes of Congressis offering bribe during the confidence motion few years ago. After talking about tapes for hours he went to the parliament n met the leader of opposition , the PM and the speaker and no one ever heard of those tapes. I cant even imagine how much he would have asked for that tape
