Guest Gunner Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Ratan Tata: Banana republics are run on cronyism. People of great power wield great power' date= but people of lesser power or people who have fallen out of power go to jail without adequate evidence or their bodies are found in the trunks of cars. The danger is that you could degenerate into that kind of atmosphere unless the necessary parts of government play their role in upholding the law and fine, let no one be above the law. I would happily have that happen, various other people would not like to see that happen but I would feel very happy to see that, I would feel very proud. So I think it can happen, I mean a Banana Republic kind of an environment could emerge, if we don't put an end to this kind of thing and under the guise of freedom of speech or the guise of many other numbers of so-called rights of democracy abused, the luxury of a democracy. In what way does he think that India doesn't fit what he has said above?
Aaku Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 panel : Barkha just say sorry and accept your mistake! BarkhaGate : i ll be careful in future != sorry

Aaku Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 She is fecking evading the question from Manu ...! Give us the answer why you haven't reported about Corporate-politician nexus  cz i dont think its a big deal :cantstop:
Aaku Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 bubblyhubbly Thalainayiran Manu is making a serious error of judgement by calling #Barkhagate 'pretty'. Come on Manu. :haha:
urbestfriend Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 She is hitler or what? She is going crazy on one media house which had the gumption to report the news whereas other media houses shamelessly ignored the worst threat to our democracy Media-political-corporate nexus.
ravishingravi Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I think Manu nailed him with the most fundamental question. Why didn't she think a PR person mediating between two parties was an issue ? As expected, she was stumped.
ravishingravi Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 In what way does he think that India doesn't fit what he has said above? It does. But it isn't the smartest thing to say when your lobbyist/PR woman has been caught with her panties down mediating between two parties for portfolio. I love Rata Tata for what he has achieved but there will be obvious question marks on him.
Aaku Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 NDTVs made an 'error of judgement' by thinking they would clarify a few questions tonite, backfired completely :phehehe:
King Tendulkar Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I always hated Burkha. But I must admit after that show I know despise even more then before. She was pathetic even though NDTV tried to control whole show to clear her. The first 15 mins were spent trying to show evidence of innonce. She is dodgy as anything
