Mohammed Kaif - The Forgotten Hero

Kaif was awful. This op is a digrace in labelling him a hero. If it was not for his fileding he would have been exed ages before he did, his batting was tragic. Worst stance and grip for any indian batter ever

When did i call Kaif > Virat? All i mean is some of the knocks Kaif had played were at the Big Stage than what Virat have played so far. And talking about Tendulkar, you dont get many batsmen who average 50 in the Tournament finals or near about. Performances outside SC hold much more imp than in Asia.

how is tri nation tournament final such a big stage ? IIRC even Virat got a 100 in one of the finals & that apart has got most of his big knocks chasing big totals . on the pitches , how so ?

am not a stats man & nor do I remember matches as finals or not ..unless off course , if its the WC finals we are talking about :winky:

If I remember correctly he was recalled to the test squad when he was performing well in domestic cricket and led UP to the Ranji final and semi-final in consecutive years. He's totally out of form now and has had enough chances to stake his claim but never grabbed them. He is one indian player who cannot complain about not being given enough chances. The likelihood of him ever playing international cricket are really slim with the amount of young talent existing now. I am a big fan of Mohd. Kaif but he doesn't warrant a place in any of the national squads.
