KKR did badly in matches because Dada wasted balls in many chases' date=' and putting too much pressure in the end on tiwary n matthews.[/quote'] You are talkng as If We had Players like Dhoni, Raina etc etc in the Middle Order? The matches Ganguly went out early we couldnt score much except 1. Our Middle order is pretty crap. The matches Ganguly scored we ended up with a Very good score Hence won 7 macthes in IPL and were on Par on points with other two semi finalists among the 4.

Thankfully legends like Mathooz, Sir Eggy etc was in full swing.

Ganguly didnt get his Captaincy right last IPL continously playing Ishant and Aggy matches after matches. I Still cant figure out why on Earth you play Mendis on a small ground like RCB which has pace and Bouce by Dropping a Bowler like Bond. Dinda was not regular in first few matches too.

Dinda should've played more often, but the thing is, how can anyone in their right mind drop legends like His Excellency Sir Ajit Agarkar for a newcomer like Dinda:giggle:

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: morkel retained ahead of dougie and murali :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Seriously, what is the management thinking? A half cricketer who cant bowl for nuts (miserable in pak series), and gets loads of single digits with the bat, with a few occasional big sixes which are totally unreliable? That too ahead of the worlds current greatest bowler, the guy who changed their IPL fortunes (dougie) and the man who can play an amazing innings against any team, in any condition, (hussey) ?
couple of reasons: 1. Morkel can bat. 2. Aussie players (other than the retired ones) aren't available for the whole season. So you can't build a team around them. They can always try to get the other players of interest (Murali, etc) via the auction. don't think the decision to retain Morkel is as hysterical as it sounds.

Morkel is terribly out of form. He may get better with bat, but has been a joke with the ball in recent past. I agrree with you though about the rest.

I agree, Aggie boi is dada's own selection, no doubt :giggle: He should get over him, he's done and dusted. Ishanth, I'm not sure though. And tbf, Mendis bowled well against Delhi, that might have been one reason for picking him ahead of bond. And bond hadn't been spectacular either.

Won't read too much into that stat, he bowled well in a few matches after that Banglore match, otherwise he's been nearly as bad or worse than other pacers, going at 8+ rpo. Also considering that you have only 4 slots for international players, you don't want to waste it by playing a specialist bowler who was outbowled by his peers.

Yes he wasnt great initially, still was better than Aggy and Ishant. Mendis shouldnt play IPL Again, He's a Pathetic bowler.

And mendis is by no means pathetic, and his t20 record says otherwise. Anyways I was just saying that its unfair to criticize gangs for his decision to play mendis. He had to chose from the limited resources he had, and it was in no way a poor decision.

Morkel has done very well for CSK. He was the the frontline seamer for all editions, until Bolly came in. He picked up wickets in his opening spell more often than not Morkel is a definite plus for CSK and I am glad they retained him He is an awesome talent and will come good, eventhough he is out of form now.

Else he is OK.

Why are you guys talking about players who will most likely not be part of the team? Don't think KKR will retain Mendis or Aggy or Ishant. OTH, if Paki players are allowed, expect a bunch of them in your team. :hehe:

I'm talking about his recent form, from what I've seen he's completely out of sorts. Not really worth retaining, I'd say.

His IPL 2010 stats over 14 games: Batting - 25@152 SR Bowling - 8.5 economy decent batting, ok bowling. He is no Malinga as a bowler, but is a good all rounder and given that SA players are available for most of the season, he would have been a good auction pick and CSK has wisely chosen not to lose him. he is the most valuable international player in the CSK team who is available to play the full season.

I don't think that's compelling enough for a retain. And he's got much worse, if the series vs Pak is anything to go by.

Dada will come to Mumbai. The old feared pair of dada and Sachin will open again and destroy everything that comes their way.
Ganguly with his slow strikerate and inconsistent performance will sabotage Mumbai's IPL chances :hmmm:
