Who was your Fav-Sachin or Azhar in the 90's

I should admit Azhar did not have a good overseas record in tests but he was still effective in ODI's and tests at home.

I actually liked Ganguly the most during the 90's caused I really got into cricket during late 90's, but sachin was always a notch better in popularity, but I prefered the elegance and stroke play of ganguly

I would not agree. Azhar was far more pleasing to the eyes than Dravid for sure. Sachin is in a different class altoghether. But yes Laxman does come close to him. Even SG could match up to him in this regards. Azza had a style of his own. His batting along with his antics made him that way. There are very few who could match up to him.

Subjective. I've never found much difference to his and RSD's. His backfoot punches are really reminicent of RSD's. Maybe just me. POLoZxKRn94

Add me to the Azhar list. Azhar had the 'glam' over Sachin in Sachin's early-days. Not only you, every other kid on the street wanted to copy Azhar's style. The man was style personified.

Sachin. BTW, Azhar was good, but he wasn't good enough to lace Sachin's boots. Anyone who followed cricket back in the 90's would tell you the same thing. Nobody could come close to Sachin in full flow back then, he was a dynamite.

England, SA,Austailia and NZ. Against WI he was a loser for sure. But the countries that I mentioned in which he did score a century you need to look at those once. He literally tormented the attacks. And by and large he used to be the only centurion apart from Sachin on overseas tours.

Subjective's the word IMO. But some of the shots that he played were breathtaking. And the one dimensional bowling of Klusener helped him in this I think.
