One player who never got a chance to play for India and was probably one of the most talented players ever NOT to have played for India was Ashish Winston Zaidi. He was a very fine bowler but never got a chance........poor guy:((
Who the hell is Ashish winston Zaidi

I do Agree as he took a lot of wickets for UP but i feel the reason was he was a 120 to 125 K bowler..i mean he was a slow medium pace bowler and to put it straight he was marked as not a international class bowler. He took too many indian wickets though.. dont u agree he was a bit slow , had he been a 130K + bowler he would have played for India..Vishal

Dodda Ganesh: One of the guys who should haver have played for India in the first place. He was just not good enough. Joginder Sharma: Another guy without much talent. He played what he played because of Dhoni's infatuation with him, till Dhoni found Jadeja. I am surprised Dhoni did not offer Deepika Padukone a place in the Indian team. Vinod Kambli: Should write an autobiography and that should be named "what not to do" and distributed free of cost amongst all budding cricketers. Yuvraj Singh can write the introduction for that book. Hirwani: If there ever was a one series wonder, that is Hirwani. Never really did much after that one wonder series. Now, a few players I think could have done better than they did: Sanjay Manjrekar: He played a few matches, but never did much justice with the talent he had. I think he was far more talented than what his performances reflect. SS Das: He looked compact and effective. I expected him to do well under difficult circumstances, or at least I thought he was well equipped to deal with difficult conditions, but he disappointed. Never had the hunger.

Kambli is the epitome of wasted talent. As he got side tracked in all kinds of rubbish, when if he just devoted himself to cricket could have been anything. A lot of the players being named were not wasted talents, as most gave it there best shot and worked hard but just were not good enough. Kambli on the other hand never gave it his best shot, so is the epitome of wasted talent.

j p yadav too
JP Yadav was a failed Allrounder he even plays now for railways though.. he was neither a good pace bowler nor a good batsmen so he was kinda a failed All rounder, so he was a guy who got selected to play once because he was thought as a talented all rounder but truth was different. he was not as talented.I may wanna not add him as i feel we have many players who are better all rounders then him.. he must consider himself lucky to play for ralways for so long ..even bangar is like him. he was never a good all rounder but got some chance to play for India

Why u guys posting failed intl. cricketers name' date='talk about talented cricketers who missed out[/quote'] I started this post , my idea is that some of them are themselves to blame as they could not digest immediate fame and failed , i mean they did not miss out but they failed. See VRV .. greg chappel and ganguly declared him and raina as greatest talents and you can see raina plays for india in TEST, ONE DAY and T20 where as VRV is dusted, i feel he did not miss out as Greg supported him and even others did support him but he did not perform. So we wanna discuss guys who failed though they had the talent to Suceed and they should have suceeded had they worked harder....Vishal

Thats why cricketers like Kaif,Aakash Chopra,Doda Ganesh should not be in the list, coz they never had that talent which would have helped them succeed

yes I agree..hirwani , manjrekar were great talents shoul;d have done better but i feel SS das was average. I totally agree about dodda ganesh and joginder who should not have played in the first place, i agree about dhoni's infatuation and if he had talent why was he never picked after worl cup....

Thats why cricketers like Kaif' date='Aakash Chopra,Doda Ganesh should not be in the list, coz they never had that talent which would have helped them succeed[/quote'] Totally Agree Doda ganesh and Kaif were not talented enough ..what they managed to get was the best that they could , actually they worked hard to attain that. even same is the case about Akash , what ever he achieved was thru his hard work and may not have been too talented as he did well but there were much more talented guys like sehwag uthappa dhawan gambhir jaffer who had more talent than akash.. so akash did work hard... I agree we do not need to consider doda , kaif and Akash into this list ...they were not big talents who failed.

Sadagoppan Ramesh comes to mind
Possibly Ramesh was talented and he played as well as he never moved his legs but still could score ... Yes he was talented and he could not prolong his career. Can some of u tell me why did VRV SIngh, Raju Kulkarni , Salil Ankola , Atul Bedade fail???
