Big Cricketing Talents who failed miserably in Indian cricket

Dear All, India has produced some really very talented batsman and Bowlers & even Allrounders , I wanna discuss some of those who did start their international career but could not really do well because of some reasons.. So i want all of you to remark or comment about their talents ( whether they were really big talents or not ) and as to why did they fail, what should they have done to suceed... Please Note we are talking about Indian Players only... I will highlight Some of them.... 1. At the top of my list is Vinod Kambli....Some guys believed that he was as talented as Sachin but because of so many reasons he failed.. so say he could not handle the wealth and fame , some said he used to dance and drink till 2 AM even when their was a test or a One day international next day...oooh i Pity how can one destroy such talent.. i saw him play well myself and possibly he was a better batsman than dravid and ganguly if not Sachin . 2. Salil Ankola: the Huge Mumbai Pacemen who failed when he was declared as the fastest and the most promising by some big cricket Guru's and specially after a promising start when he took 3 or 4 wicekts in his first test Match. 3. Atul Bedade: the big 6 hitter who many said will definitely make a big Mark at least in One days if not in tests and was a much bigger hitter than Yuvraj and Yusuf. 4.I would not call Irfan Pathan as a big failure as He could atleast make his mark and played for quite many One day internationals and tests, taking a hat trick as well though he has also not managed to be true to his talents or potential. but he has partially suceeded at least. 5. Murli Karthik : I feel He has also not suceeded and One point which i have noted is that he is one of the best spinners that we have but he does not manage to play much , he should have played a few tests at least, he has played a few one days and do note that his record is OK. 6. VRV Singh: he has been as big a failure as his height. he could bowl fast bouncers and many said that he is the best among Munaf Sreesanth and him as he has the best bouncer and good yorkers....but possibly bcos of his health he has been a huge disappointment..some said players used to be scared of him. 7. I would also add MUNAF into this list as I feel i would wanna award him GOLD prize for slowing down his pace at such a fast speed, he bowled 145 K consistently in his first test match against England and after that he straight jumped to 130 to 133 in six months and then 125 to 130 in next six months and later 12ok to 125 K and today he bowls at the pace of 115k to 120 K...I feel now he will slow down to 110 to 115 K and later He will turn into a Spin Bowler.. i wanna suggest that He should retire from Indian Cricket if he cannot go back to his best days.. i still feel he has the capability to go back to 140 to 145K but he withholds and underperforms...he is a BIG Failure. 8.Raju Kulkarni: I still dont understand that when there was a guy who bowled fast n furious , he could not suceed though i do not know why? 9. Vivek razdan: a fast bowler gets a fifer in his debut match that clearly says he has talent.. where did he go. Good smooth action great height Good Pace.. how could He fail. 10.Laxmipathy Bala Ji : his pace deteriorated fast bcos of his health n fitness issues n now he is slower than Praveen Kumar. you guys do add and also comment, dont u guys agree that these guys were crazy talents who failed but should have suceeded? Had i got similiar talent I am sure I would have worked Hard and serve the country longer... I Love Cricket...Vishal

Nice lines dude. But when you get injured then you cant help things. And if you attain a little bit of fame then your head goes for a spin. The names that I mentioned failed coz of instant success. And people like L Balaji failed coz of the former. There's one more reason for failure. People like Murali KArtik, who are never able to make the cut. These people never get the nod frm the selectors/captains and always remain in the dark. Though he has earned quite a name for himself in County so per se he is not a failure.

Hirwani - I totally agree ...even laxman SivaramKrishnan..a Great Leg spinner even better than Hirwani but a big failure. Same with regards to Sadanand...ONe of the best Keepers, i would say in the class of Kirmani but a great failure. How could somebody destroy such talent.. I would say He shot himself at his foot, such a impressive keeper who only played one champions trophy and impressed the entire world and then faded out. Good reply Man...

I totally Agree Murali Karthik is doing tremendously in country cricket and many players agree and expect him to be in the indian test team again so I have not lost hope on him still, i wish he kinda comes back into contention as i beleive he is better then Ojha and should be picked ahead of Ojha ..i beleive he is the best spinner of India today ahead of Ojha and harbhajan. Hemang was an average talent for me...I feel he did well for his talent, u guys may differ though. reetinder was a great Talent ..a Upcoming Allrounder, who could initially even bowl medium fast and Bat dangerously , he always batter better than all his coalegues.. a huge shock that he is invisible today... DOdda Ganesh: i feel he was just medium pace and I feel he was not expected to suceed as far as I am concerned..what do u guys say... DO share dont u guys agree guys like VRV Kambli and raju kularni and salil should have done much better.. who was responsible for their failure

Vijay Bharadwaj was definitely a Talent who misfired but some said that becos he was weak physically so He could not manage his batting talent and also his Bowling...possibly his health but I agree he had the talent to be a allrounder but he used to wear spectacles so i kinda doubt about his capabilities a little. Yes But he was talented he also failed big time. Joginder was never talented ... i feel he was one of those who bowled 105 to 115 K type of balls , he has a height of 5 7 " which is too small for a medium pace bowler , only short bowler who had some good talent in india was chetan sharma .. i feel he has done well for his talent by being a regular in domestic cricket...I differ as far as Joginer is concerned. Kamran Khan : i just Hope that he bounces back and is considered by BCCI he is one good fast bowler along with Abu Nachem who is not even being considered.....i do not wanna add his name into this list. i wish BCCI takes Notice.

oooh Biggest Talent Kambli and hardly playing tests in double digits ... one would call him as the biggest failure... I totally agree about Dinesh Mongia and Kaif.. these and WV Raman were the biggest scorers in domestic cricket and failed miserably in International cricket... i do not know what were the reasons...same guys scores so well in India grounds and indian opposition but against international opposition ..a Big failure..How Come?

DO throw some light about Rakesh Patel as i know less i ffeel he also bowled at 135 K at his peak and took a few wickets and was being considered in a new zealand series...

One player who never got a chance to play for India and was probably one of the most talented players ever NOT to have played for India was Ashish Winston Zaidi. He was a very fine bowler but never got a chance........poor guy:((
