He got to the top of the ICC ratings, does that not make someone "rated the best batsman in the world"? Sometimes I wonder with you guys, you seem to have a massive chip on your shoulder about pretty much everything to do with white people.

Oh really...when was that - on 10/04/2003 - and how long did he stay there - one week. The best batsman in the world for 1 week in his entire career. And did he get there by raising his ratings or did someone else fall down? Fortunately for Vaughan it looks like someone else fell down. The last Test Vaughan played was on 02-Jan-2003 when he was ranked number 2 and his rating points were at 871. Between 02-Jan-2003 and 24-May-2003 Vaughan did not play any Test cricket. However his 871 rating points became the topper for that 1 week in April. How? Because someone else fell below 871. On 24-May-2003 Vaughan fell down to 855. He had a highest ratings point of 871 which he could not even hold on to for one more Test match. For your satisfaction you can go around claiming that Vaughan was the best batsman in the world at one point in time...but you must not let others know whether he rose to number 1 or did number 1 drop to number 2. And whether he remained number 1 the very next time the rankings were calculated. One week! One week! The chip is not on my shoulder...when you start bigging up mediocre players as the best batsmen in the world at one point in time then you will obviously receive responses that put your best batsman status in context.

Some homework for you. No. of test series Eng. has won away from home in last 3-4 years. Do the same for India Pak. ki aulad ?

Well Eng can develop into a great side and imo India will lose its ranking for whatever that means once the greats retire. But atm, Eng has not won 1 test series abroad under Strauss. Now it is awfully big claim to make when you have not even started the journey

Not impossible. If they beat us in england, then when they tour india its possible that vvs, dravid and tendulkar could be retired or struggling to cope with age and england could win a test series in india. Plus if they win in australia and beat south africa at home they can boast a superior head to head against all 3 major teams in their last 2 test series vs them. I don't think it will happen but its not a distant pipe dream as people are making it out to be. Plus they don't have age issues or worries about bowling depth that we do.
