Who do you think should be flown in to save our ass ? Unadkat looking quite inexperienced.. After seeing Ishant and Sree attack looking toothless..I don't have much belief in Munaf turning it around, and I don't really see anyone who can fill-in...

Bring back the President of Karnataka State Cricket Association - he's the type of bowler we need when the entire bowling unit is completely demoralized
that'd be like Aussies asking for Warne.. Who can do a "Mitchell"..

Sir Agarkar :icflove: Get Munaf and Praveen and Abhimanyu - all three flown in right away. Let the team mgmt watch all 3 in the nets and pick one. I dont think ZK is gonna play in Test-2 - these hamstring injuries dont heal quickly. Oh God, I dont want to see this useless Unadkat again in Test-2. We dont need trundlers like him or Vinay Kumar. And I'm not sure what the hell U.Yadav will do either. But frankly speaking even if we dont SOS - its ok. Without ZK, we will get hammered time and again. This is how the "bowling of India" will look after ZK retires :fear:

ok. Actually I know how to bowl pace and also spin. I guarantee I can better Harbhajan and take more wickets than him if I send down 25 plus overs as he did on pitches that have some bounce and be more economical in the process. I could perhaps been flown in too and will be able to serve the dual duties of a pacer and a spinner. Wish someone sends me an SOS. :-)

If you can do triple duties like Jadeja has been doing for a while now, you will shortly receive an SOS from our skipper :--D ps: Jadeja bowls, bats and fields :--D

Ranadeb Bose? Replace injured Zak with another experienced lad maybe? :hmmm: http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/player/27572.html look at his average and experience! He got 57 Ranji wickets in eight matches, five-fors in five straight matches, and six in all, two 10-wicket hauls, and three four-wicket hauls to go with that. Only five bowlers have taken more than 57 wickets in a single Ranji season. This season was a metamorphosis of sorts after playing second fiddle to SS Paul last season. He took over the lead role as Paul was injured and led a young Bengal attack exceptionally well. At the end of the 2006-07 season, Bose had bowled 10,658 first-class deliveries, and not bowled a single front-foot no-ball. Add to that the 2,113 List A deliveries, and countless ones at other official games, where he hasn't over-stepped even once. It speaks a lot about his new approach to bowling: cutting down on pace, focussed on accuracy and movement, and the numbers are the tangible evidence. I don't know why such guys never get picked up for Indian international team

Right now we have two youngsters with an average of 35 leading our bowling in South Africa! What's wrong with our selectors? the new lad seems more clueless than a penguin in a desert.

well they can't manufacture talent. yes, they could have picked RPS or PK or Munaf, but those are pretty much all you got.

Praveen Kumar is yet to be introduced in tests so it would have been sensible to bring in a guy with a slight more experience than someone brand new out of the basket who doesn't even have enough domestic experience to understand the south african conditions. I have nothing against ishant and sreesanth, I am sure that both of them will bounce back

So true! even if guys like him are selected, they are not given enough opportunities to unearth their talent :( couple of classic example from 90's..
