zoi321 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hi i am new to these forums but anyway i just want to know why We in pakistan produce much better fast bowlers than india and you guys have produced top notch batsman is their any reason for this? We were part of the same country. :winky:
zoi321 Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 wasim waqar is great tendulkar dravid is great but why do we not have good batsman like india and why do you guys not have good bowlers like us is it cultural?
Gunner_Mania Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 because we produced great batsmen and everybody wants to become a batsmen nobody wants to be come a bowler. Pakistan produced some top notch bowlers and everybody probably wants to follow their heroes and become bowlers and not become batsmen?? :dontknow:
ShahidAfridi Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Pakistan has produced some good Batsmen Yousuf Younis Khan Inzi Miandad
dhillon28 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 because we produced great batsmen and everybody wants to become a batsmen nobody wants to be come a bowler. Pakistan produced some top notch bowlers and everybody probably wants to follow their heroes and become bowlers and not become batsmen?? :dontknow: wow- this has been exactly my thinking for a long time! pak only consistently produced great fast bowlers after imran khan and safraz nawaz india only consistently produced great fast bowlers after sachin tendulkar and sunil gavaskar this i believe as influenced it a lot
dhillon28 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Pakistan has produced some good Batsmen Yousuf Younis Khan Inzi Miandad apart form javed, none will go down as all time greats. inzi could have been one of the best (in the same class as sachin/lara) but he just ate too much ghosht and parathe and never fufilled his potential. mohd yousufs post career claim to fame will be his world record runs scored in a calendar year....but apart from that, no one will talk to him ten years from now. whereas everyone still talks about imran/wasim/waqar and sometimes even saqlain
Cricket_Guru Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 because, pakistan is pakistan and india is india seriously.... I think the main reason is tsunami which happened 60 years ago, it has some link to world war one, but again at that time the world didnt have enough freedom to express the quality it possessed, lekin ab tau baat hi different, the wolrd has waken up after world war, which bohat hi achi baat he, isi liye we have top notch bowlers, aur india has fresh top ballayBaaz(FTB), aur bhi many suggestion i have, but i will save un ko for baad!
vaibhav_delhi Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 1. sub-continental conditions have always been non-condusive for fast bowling. So for wkt taking job, india have produced great spinners like kumble(612wkts!!), prasanna, bedi, venkat, bhajji(arnd 390) etc. 2. indias top three pacers are still pretty good(kapil, srinath, zak) though not as good as paks(akram, waqar, imran). 3. Pak hav utilized reverse swing better, over the years. Thts the main reason i'd say. 4. Pak's current lot arent as good as indias. Amir is only 50wkts old. Asif was a drug cheat, cudnt bowl even a bouncer after leaving drugs. Gul is good though not very good. 5. I think the world has sorted pak out in the last 10 years with regards to ball tampering etc so paks win/loss ratio since year 2000 has only been 0.6 against top 8 teams compared to india 1.2. And their faster bowler arent picking any wkts.

Spot fixing is not about losing games. Besides, they hardly won anything last year for them to dramatically win the next one. Aus won the 3rd test out of the blue, but people were talking as if Aus were done just last week. Its just cricket.
jaihind Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 1. Beef eaters are generally better built and you have to have a good build to be a fast bowler (Indian muslims don't eat beef as such, they eat buffalo meat) 2. Body build has less to do with batting and more to do with practice and proper technique. In India, most academies have top notch coaching and facilites, many people are brought from foreign countries to help with player development, I think this has a lot to do with it.
ravishingravi Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I want a team that wins consistently as simple as that. India does that better which is all that matters.

But one can be as strong and more fit on a healthy pure veg diet. Most indian wrestlers n boxers are veggies.
vayuu1 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Team india S.O.S : Need bowlers who can hit 145+ k consistantly i was watching the ranji matches and also the test match between india and s.a ,but what was worrying that none of the bowler was hitting 140 k let alone 145 k consistantly ,the comment of pommie mbangwa pretty much sumed it up ,he said that"its battle of two bowling attacks which will decide the fate of this series, on attack has bowlers who hit 135 k or below and the other attack has bowlers who can hit 145 k or above consistantly,i mean seriously if we need to win abroad we need a thing called extra pace ,the venom which r.p and zak showed in england,i.s in australia and gopu in south africa ,but much more consistantly.not this trundlers like munaf,p.k unad c*&t ,these jokers will take us nowhere instead they will spoil the whole hardwork of our team ,so is there any genuine fast(not phaaast) bowler in the country, discuss.

saneindian Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Imran, Wasim , Waqar and SHoaib are the heroes of a kid who starts playing cricket in Pakistan Sachin, Gavaskar, Sehwag, Dravid, Dada, VVS are the heroes of a kid who starts playing in India.

Afridi is the one and only, rest superstars are his backbone!

Afridi is the one and only, rest superstars are his backbone![/quote'] thats why your cricket team and the cricketing system is not progressing. When you have players like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar etc to look up to, you want children to look up to Afridi as a role model - a player who just plays slam bang cricket and knows only 1 thing, that is hitting the ball out of the park and even that he does not do on a regular basis. As far as batting technique is concerned, he knows NOTHING about it and you want the youngsters to look up to him. You have got one of the best allrounders ever in the form of Imran Khan and some of the best bowlers in the history of the game in form of Wasim and Waqar - make them the role model for the youngsters.
