satishg Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 That was a screamer! Better than the Collingwood catch in the last test match.
virufan Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Dravid rocks! BTW, does he have the highest number of catches in Test cricket?
jusarrived Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 that was his 50th catch of Harbajans bowling & also bajjis 50th against SA
achilles Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 What a catch. What a feat. This man is the unsung hero of the Indian team. Its awesome to have in around :isalute:
urbestfriend Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 Dravid rocks! BTW, does he have the highest number of catches in Test cricket? As a non-keeper, he is #1 long back. Next is Mark Waugh with 180+ catches.
Sachinism Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 What a catch to get there with 1st man to 200 test catches :aha:
Roshanrocks Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Great Player namma namma namma namma :aha:
king2be98 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I can't seem to find a definitive answer in any of the post match reports. Is this 200 non-keeper catches for Dravid? Or is this including them? If it is 200 on it's own, then well done sir, in fact either way well done. You know we have a keeper (Akmal) who drops so many that we know the importance of of taking catches. As for his catching ability, he is a very safe slip catcher. I would say easily the safest of the Indian slips fielders and perhaps only behind Jayawardene of Sri Lanka in terms of reliability in the subcontinent.

AFAIK, Dravid only kept wickets in ODIs, these are 200 catches as a non-keeper. PS: Congrats to Dravid on a gr8 effort, however if you play that many matches as slip fielder you are bound to take 200 catches so no big deal. Actually you could have put any donkey in the slips for 149 tests and he would have ended up with 200 catches.
gsivak Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Congrats!!! You have truly been a great ambassador for your country in more ways than one.
