Time for Sehwag to grow up.

Seriously, after all this time, after all the runs, after all the centuries, doubles and triples, you guys still want to question Sehwag's approach? Its easy for us to sit here and question the approach, but bear in mind that it is the same free-flowing attitude to batting that has given him more than 7000 test runs at a SR of 80. It cannot be that you guys enjoy his batting when it comes off and critique it when it doesnt. Having said that, its not like he CANNOT play with restraint. His 150 on day 5 in the Adelaide test match in 2008 helped us save the match. Belive it or not, but Sehwag went an entire session that day without scoring a bounday! :omg: If anything, I am slightly disappointed at the dismissals of Dravid/Tendu. Both of those shots, especially Dravid's, was completely uncharacteristic. I dont know what those guys were thinking when they played those shots. The need of the hour then was solid defence and of all people, the rookie Pujara showed how to do it. Of course, no point crying over spilt milk. The match has moved far past those situations. Lets just hope we can pull this off.
It's the approach people lover when he gets going. But when he fails, it's the same approach that gets all the abuse. With that approach, he looks like world beater when he connects and looks equally ugly when he fails. But we have to be happy that even with that approach, he has managed a great average with an astounding strike rate. That's almost super human.

you win by scoring runs sensibly.
WTF kinda logic is this.... You score, you win...you dont score you dont win... hows Dravids sensible 6 off 66 better than Sehwags 'unsensible' 32 of 32 ...

If he had averaged 35 in test matches with 8-10 hundreds, then yes, there’s every reason to question him. But the dude averages nearly 55! It is monumentally stupid to still keep questioning the way he plays.

does it yet again.
Do you have a thread for every player and bumb it every time the guy fails? I remember your thread about Dhoni being useless for the test team which obviously has not yet been bumped for the last 4-5 tests.

yeah i didn't bump dhoni's threads because the guy is beyond useless now. not worth my time. but sehbag is a potent matchwinner and deserves bumpage.
