Time for Sehwag to grow up.

The biggest problem in this Test is not Sehwag. It is that runs havent come from Dravid and Tendulkar at Durban. Those two are our batting colossuses! A 50 or two from their bats in such conditions are expected. Now it is all upto Laxy and Che! Frankly we cannot expect anything more from Che than what the good lad has already done. Hopefully they can carry on.

You must be kidding if you are expecting Dravid to perform consistently these days, as he so used to before 2007. We are so used to seeing him not perform in tougher conditions/better opposition since 2006-07 SA series. My concern is that he's been playing at crucial no.3 position for so long purely based on his reputation and not much of contribution. I feel he should step down by himself to bat at no.5 or 6 (don't think Dhoni or Gary will ask him to do)

actually it is. he needs to buckle down and play a longer innings. we could have taken this game away from SA easily but now are stuck on even terms and waiting yet again for Lakshman to bail us out. these situations don't call for a blistering 40. they call for a well made 100. sehwag has failed us.

For once I agree with you. The need of the hour was a well made 100 not 32.

Sehwag needs to be careful with those airy shots when playing in conditions where there is movement and bounce , it is not just Sehwag , Sachin and Dravid are also guilty of playing loose shots. Even Vijay he got out to brute of ball but he did not have to play that he could have left alone, these guys need to learn to leave the ball on length and let bowler bowl to you rather than chasing them.

this is a terrible attitude; he is selected to play for India over yuvraj and raina he better perform and if he cant then make way for kohli or rohit. yes after yesterdays performance even though he didnt get any runs pujara has raised a hope within me that maybe we will be alright once dravid, sachin , vvs leave but i expect him to tough it out there and make sure we lead by 325+ we really need gambhir for second innings

Sehwag needs to learn from Afridi Afridi has been performing like a veteran despite being only 22 yrs old for the last 10 yrs
yep that's what we've sunk to. team not doing too well? just bring pakistan into it and look to their pathetic state to feel good about ourselves. just the sort of mentality which keeps us from becoming a developed nation.

pathetic shot earlier but it seems more acceptable for Sehwag to do it than any other opener in the world. If Strauss played that shot he would have to resign next morning.
