I am not claiming this was best ever, no body could have done that, he is best ever to be able to do this... no polls against any lesser/higher blessed batsman. This is for people who still find this knock is not right up there, in terms of - pressure situation knock. Spare other discussion threads, and criticize to your heart's content here.

Can someone kindly share the video link of the spat Dale had with Sachin after which Sachin had a go at Dale? I would like to see what exactly made Sachin respond verbally for one of the rarest times on the cricket field.

The only point that needs to be planted deep inside the minds of extreme fans(esp anti-fans) is that - we have three greats - every one play their part on their day. Appreciation, criticism, expectation - threads are all welcome - but needless troll-polls must not exist. Anyway, go ahead and say if you have anything to say on the topic.
zen Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Another trolling and complaining thread from the makers of great comedy shows like 'whenever Sachin plays, he plays under the pressure of 1 billion expectations', that 'Sachin is the greatest test batsman because he has scored more runs in Tests and ODIs', ' that antilog shows Sachin would avg more than 100 if he were transported back in time using time machine', 'that list of bowlers shows who is the greatest' :P Bravo!

They would be absolutely clueless if they feel any different. It should however be perfectly fine if in certain conditions people feel that VVS can better SRT. That in no way is a knock on Tendulkar but a testament to the kind of player Laxman has been for India for a decade now starting with that Kolkata 281. Personally I do not feel there needs to be threads such as these every time Sachin scores a ton and show off I told you so theme and also vice versa meaning bashing threads after each failure. Now let us win this one before anything else or at least hope for a draw lest no matter who scores how many it does not taste good in a loss be it a Tendulkar or a Laxman or a Dravid.

Stay on the topic rett-roll. Simple question is - what are the missing elements from this knock - in terms of pressure barometer. To help you (as if you need it :P) a) he did not stay not-out, hence may be team ended up 30-40 runs short. b) Someone from species with cricketing_intelligence of astronomical magnitude suggested - he should have shielded Dhoni and Pujara. c) This was only 1st innings. d) It was required to cross 400 target to qualify for any appreciation.

Many test series would have such performances like Kallis did for SA. We have already had 3 cool knocks in the test so far from Kallis, GG and Ten, why would you be so focused on Ten's? The KO punch under pressure, which was mostly being talked abt on the other thread, is yet to be delivered! But yeah cool knocks by these 3, along with the spell from Styen. This is what makes test cricket the ultimate form!

Based on the outcome of this match and many other future possibilities, people are going to do this at some point of time in future. So - why not allow them to do it now, when its still fresh in memories!
