Sachin, Sehwag and Kapil in ICC dream team

Sachin and Kapil are deserving for sure but dont think Veeru has played enough to deserve in the dream team

The entire team structure looks messed up. Why pick another opener besides Tendulkar in the first place when there is Gilchrist? Rather pick an extra middle order batsman. Openers : Tendulkar, Gilchrist Middle Order : Richards, De Silva, Lara, Bevan All Rounder : Kapil Dev Fast Bowlers : Akram, Garner, McGrath Spinner : Warne Don't see anything contentious about the choice of Kapil as the all rounder. At number 7 the last thing you need is some slowpoke like Kallis or Imran. And Kapil as an ODI bowler was better than in tests. He was ranked as the number 1 all rounder in the ICC rankings continuously for a period of 10 years or so. That is simply phenomenal. And to do it a time when his competition was Imran, Hadlee, and Botham makes it even more remarkable.

I might be wrong in my assessment of Kapil as an allrounder for ODI's. Was probably influenced more by test cricket selections. Anyways it's Kapil paji's B'day today.:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:

Jayasuriya should have been picked! twice the batsmen sehwag is in ODI even his bowling is of good use in ODI'S arguably the second greatest opener in ODI cricket history!
