From India : Kohli, Rohit and Ashwin. (Raina is well established now, having played more than 100 ODIs :cantstop:). Sri Lanka : Matthews but I think he has established himself in the side :dontknow: and Parnavitana. South Africa : Ingram, Miller, Duminy. England : Morgan, Trott. Australia : Smith, Birt, Mitchell Marsh, Khwaja. West Indies : Darren Bravo, Adrian Barath Pakistan : Umar Akmal, Asad Shafiq. New Zeland : Williamson, Martin Guptill. Bangladesh : Tamim Iqbal (Although he is well established now.), Mahmudullah Riad. Best at the moment in terms of form : Kohli and Matthews. Players to watch out for : Rohit Sharma, Darren Bravo and Ecoin Morgan.

There was some talk back in the day that Pieterson was not test material and look, average of nearly 50. Pollys FC record is half decent aswell he just needs to play more games, I am certain he would do pretty well in tests batting at 6/7.

Most of the players names have been misspelled with respect in first 2 blocks of this thread, forgetting that - Its AB de Villiers for me, who can be called as the most promising batsman among the choice provided above..

i will add: SL - chandimal (mathews is allrounder, not batsman) AUS - khawaja PAK - azhar ali / asad shafiq IND - kohli also, you cant add morgan. because he not youngster, he play about 5 years for ireland.

Kholi. There were a couple of promising Englishmen in the U19 WC then there is Mitch Marsh ofc. I was also very impressed by Lil Bravo. I'd to watch the stupid SL tests coz of my bro, but whatever lil I saw of him, he was very good.
Ben Stokes is a guy that scored a ton against India, really good against spinners too whcih was impressive, smashed your Slow Left Arm for a few big sixes. Defo one for the future, had a good debut county season aswell considering playing in Durham early season is a very difficult place to bat.

How is morgan a young and promising batsmen? He is one of the best ODI batsmen's in the world. I would rather have Morgan than have Sehwag in my team, the guy never ever lets you down.
